Concerned..

Excuse me if I put this in the wrong forum, wasn't sure where else this would fit

Well consistently since I remember, which would go as far back to January, my period has occurred during the 18th through the 22nd of every month but in June my period came on the 6th.

Is this something I should be concerned about?

I'm now 17 by the way.. I have no clue if this matters but might as well add it

I'm not a doctor, but since you seem eager for responses.

It could be anything. Are you stressed?

Even if you're not, some times young bodies will get off schedule just for the hell of it.

If you have your period it means you're not pregnant, its probably just your period being irregular. Are you on any type of birth control? Because hormones affect your cycle of course.

I thought you were on the pill & always used two forms of BC? Did something happen? If just late it happens intermittantly. If super concerned pick up a pregnancy test due to the change.

Your body might have just changed itself.

Red face No Need to Worry

There are so many different things that can affect the timing of a menstrual cycle. Stress, Weight gain/loss, medication, change in sleep habits, changes in sexual habits, being around a group of women for long periods of time (womens' cycles tend to synchronize when exposed to the same group... think sororities). Even being on the pill (if you are) as predictable as it's supposed to be your body may just decide it doesn't want to be on a normal cycle that month. I'm in my late 20s now and usually I can predict and plan but not always. If you're sexually active just be glad that you get it at all no matter what or how many forms of birth control you use. Also, it's possible to end up with two periods per month, so if this is just a once in a great while occurance... don't worry about it. If you are still very concerned then ask your gynecologist. They'll help you figure out what's going on.

I'm not on the pill, but I do always use two.

And I wasn't late I was early. I had my period for May, on the 19th (have it written down).

I'm sure I'm not pregnant...

I have to say it may just be that your body is settleing with itself. I started my pirods when i was 10 and i am now 16 and i have never had a full year of regular periods. A few years agi beofrei became sexualy active i went to see a doctor about it and they said not to worry at all untill you beome sexually active as it's just your body trying to find it's natural rythme. However hen you are sexualy active it is good to go onto the pill because that helps to regulate you as well as protect you. So that's what i did. It may just be the same case for you, or if you have started to taking the pill and your body's adapting ect.
Obviously i have to say i'm not a doctor so can't tell you that is whats happened to you, but it's a suggestion from my own experience. I personaly wouldnt worry unless it was becoming common and then go and see a doctor.

So you started two weeks earlier. Your body may just be adjusting it's self. I thought you meant you skipped the 18th-22. If you think about it, if you get one every 28 days each month they come earlier. Over the course of a year the date changes. Your body may be regulating it's self to a new cycle since you are still young...
