Semen allergy/sensitivity?
This may sound like a crazy question, but I hope y'all might be able to shed some light for me, or at least point me in the direction of someone else who could!
![]() My boyfriend and I have been having sex for a while now, and it's been fabulous. I'm on the pill, and we're both STD-free, so he doesn't wear a condom. However, I've recently noticed something strange. Whenever he ejaculates inside me (which isn't every time), it kind of burns. Not seriously, but enough to be noticeable. It usually goes away after about a half-hour or so, but it perplexes me, to say the least. So, my question is this: Is it possible to be allergic or sensitive to semen? I'm not allergic to anything else... Or could it be something more mundane like the semen irritating tiny tears in the skin of the vaginal wall (the way lemon juice stings in a paper cut)? |

I don't have any useful details, but I did know a girl once that was allergic to her husband's sperm. She said it burned terribly. They just used condoms all the time, but had a lot of difficulty when they decided to get pregnant because it was so painful for her.

Semen allergy does exist but is quite rarte. Some women are allergic to all semen and some to specific semn that can be affected by dies or pathogens of your partner.
Before going there, I suggest the lube and see if there is any relation to his diet. After a Thai meal the semen can get pretty powerful. It definitely burns the mought and certainly could the vagina mucosa.
