Foreskin problems (when my partners masturbates me or condom goes on wrong)

Hoping a few uncircumsized men can help me out here:

I've noticed I get sharp pain when:

1) A condom is put on 'wrong' (ie. when it's not put on VERY carefully). Specifically, when a condom is put on over top ROLLED BACK foreskin (which often happens in the process of putting on the condom), it's painful immediately and then MORE painful with every thrust during intercourse - because every thrust essentially causes the foreskin to be rolled back a bit.

I also get sharp pain when:

2) My partner performs oral sex or masturbates me and the foreskin is pulled back in the process (revealing the head of the penis).

The reason is obvious I think: the skin is attached to the top of the penis head, and when the foreskin is rolled back too far (or too hard), it hurts - just like it would hurt if skin was being pulled off any part of your body.

Quesitons:

A) What do I do about it? I've had this problem with EVERY partner - which causes me to think that perhaps I'm the only man who has pain when foreskin is rolled back?

B) Will changing the condom (perhaps wearing 'bigger' condoms that are less tight and therefore don't pull back on teh foreskin help?

C) Is it normal? Or is there something I can do to dull sensitivity of my foreskin being pulled back?

Any advice would be welcome.

I am not a man and, therefore, do not have the frenulum that is giving you trouble. Many men have this problem. It has to do with the skin that attaches the prepuce, or foreskin, to the base of the glans penis. Many doctors and all urologists can deal with this problem quite simply right in the office. You start by telling your doctor exactly what you have stated here.

You will be out of action for a few days.

You're certainly not alone - I used to have the same problem, but it went away after I was circumcised (for an unrelated reason). Not saying you necessarily need to do something so drastic, but it would probably solve your problem.

What hurts? The Glans or head? The Frenulum or connective skin like found on the bottom of your tongue? Something else--what?

I also get sharp pain when:

2) My partner performs oral sex or masturbates me and the foreskin is pulled back in the process (revealing the head of the penis).

The head/Glans of the penis is extremely sensitive because of all the nerve endings there. Being covered and protected by the Foreskin most of the time, the nerves are rarely rubbed directly like they are when a penis has been circumcised for years.

For those of us who were circumcised early in life, the Glans has had years of exposure to the elements and has rubbed against clothing thus dulling their sensitivity. So, as great as masturbation, oral, and intercourse is, the sensations are actually mild by comparison.

As I see it there are these solutions:
1. you can leave the Foreskin forward
2. you can retract it for short periods of time periodically over a
few months in order to get the nerves in the Glans used to the
elements and become desensitized
+ you can finger with and without using a lubricant it with the
Foreskin retracted briefly yet often in order to condition it as above
3. retract it when using a condom and apply some lube only to
the Glans before rolling on the condom--or not, as desired

The reason is obvious I think: the skin is attached to the top of the penis head, and when the foreskin is rolled back too far (or too hard), it hurts - just like it would hurt if skin was being pulled off any part of your body.

This sounds like a separate issue. Will your Foreskin fully retract and fold up behind the Corona Rim (back of Glans/top of shaft)? If not then I gather it only partially retracts and if this is the case you can work with it daily and over time you should be able to free the adhesion that attaches it to the Glans. Try doing this exercise during a shower or preferably a bath.

Quesitons:

A) What do I do about it? I've had this problem with EVERY partner - which causes me to think that perhaps I'm the only man who has pain when foreskin is rolled back?

You are not, however, please give us more information by answering the questions, above.

B) Will changing the condom (perhaps wearing 'bigger' condoms that are less tight and therefore don't pull back on teh foreskin help?

I'd try using the lube first, not rolling the foreskin back when wearing a condom, first.

C) Is it normal? Or is there something I can do to dull sensitivity of my foreskin being pulled back?

Asked and answered, above.

Any advice would be welcome.
I hope this is of help. Give these suggestions a try and with the additional information I'll be happy to work with you further.

1) Re: what hurts - I think it's the frenulum. I haven't examined it but it just feels like the skin is being pulled back too far.

2) Regarding your suggestions: what does applying lube to the glans do?

3) Re: your question about how far back the foreskin will retract - WHEN FLACID, the foreskin will retract all the way back. When erect, it hurts a bit to retract the foreskin and it will not come back as far.

Q: I have read elsewhere that steroids can be applied to stretch the skin, and this is a better solution to try before getting circumcised. I really, really, REALLY want to avoid circumcision.

Any other ideas / comments? Brandeye seemed to suggest it can be fixed in 5 minutes by a urologist, but did not indicate what the procedure would be.

I am not either (I had real bad rash during birth and didn't want to risk it), and I thought leaving the foreskin forward was a bad thing?

This might be the case, although if the the foreskin will retract when flaccid the frenulum should have enough length when the penis is erect.

2) Regarding your suggestions: what does applying lube to the glans do?

A little dab on the glans will give the glans the ability to wiggle around inside the condom thus providing more sensation due to having more friction.

This is a question for Brandye to address.

The doctor can give the front of the foreskin a quick little nick with a scalpel giving the front of the foreskin the ability to expand over the glans when erect. Add a little topical anesthetic and...wa la, you're problem is solved! and you get to keep your foreskin.

It is not uncommon for the front of some foreskins to be smaller than the diameter of the glans. This is particularly true if the foreskin has a straw-like extension out in front. So, talk to your personal doctor about this and see what can be done. Pain should be minimal, like stubbing your toe or having a sliver removed. NBD.

I may look into that procedure (I know this isn't my topic) after i get my Orchiectomy bills payed. Again I thought having the foreskin not retracted during sex was bad?
