Pressure during ejaculation

I recently masturbated and when I ejaculated, I felt pressure at the base of my penis, almost in my scrotum. The pressure was slightly painful, but not something that would automatically make me scared. A good amount of ejaculate came out, but I'm thinking that the pressure I felt at the base of my penis was caused by ejaculate that, for some reason, didn't come out. I hadn't masturbated for a week prior to this so a good amount of semen was stored up. Does anyone know what this could be? Should I seek medical attention?

This sounds normal to me. It would seem to be a lot of fluid volume under a lot of pressure being forced down a small pipe.

Pressure in that area sometimes indicates a prostate infection. If there is a foul smell, see a doctor. Prostatitis will wax and wane but will not be cured without proper antibiotics. And few of them get into the prostate. The additional volume could be pus.
