Libido lacking

Okay so I was always told that when you were in good shape, your libido increased. I always thought this to be true considering that when I would run . (15 miles a week) I could masturbate ALOT, even pull off back to back to backs in bed. But I had to stop running after I started getting hurt (rolled ankle that wouldnt heal), and my libido has dropped off, and I can go twice in a row IF im lucky.

Well I started to not like the way I looked and decided to get in shape. I started working out 3 times a week, I have been eating right, and even take a protein shake before bed and following my workouts to help build more muscle. So not only do I feel great about myself, but I have been getting looks from a lot of women who would never give me a second look.

Only problem is I dont find myself wanting to get with them. I just am bleh. All my research has shown that working out increases testosterone, which is a key factor in libido's so I am at a lost as to why this is happening. Is it just that I am getting out my stress while working out, so I dont find myself needing the release through mastrubation or sex? (I tend to get angry after while working out and after am totally calm and at peace lol)

Brandye is a jewel in the rough
Generally, those who are properly conditioned, physically, have higher sex drives and capacities - both men and women. This is, however, a long term project and getting there may present some periods of reduced libido. And there are so many other things that affect the libido that you cannot assume the physical conditioning is not working.

During your teenage years hormones can fluctuate quite a bit and cause mood swings.

As for not wanting to be with the women you run into, perhaps none are providing the "chemistry" you are looking for. Solution: continue looking.

As for masturbating frequency, this can fluctuate also. Unless you are wanting to do it for the sure pleasure of it, I'd recommend holding off until your stress level drives you to do it. In doing it this way you stress management will of course vary and so too will how often you masturbate. Try this and if you find this satisfactory, then add a session for pure pleasure into the mix every once in a while.,

Life without dancing?
I don't think so......

The feet may learn the steps;
yet only the spirit can dance!

Dancing is the fastest way to get
a girl alone and into your arms in public.

The Tango smolders and burns. It ignites the
heart, the soul, and yes, the libido.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass,
it's about learning how to Dance in the Rain!

Dance as if nobody is watching.

bluetide76 will become famous soon enough
Sure there are many factors to your sex drive, but as for the fitness that really depends on how your exercise is. If you overwork yourself then you tend to get reversed results. You muscles store a lot of your blood and when they are worn down they fill with lactic acid. This keeps you from rebuilding and even can prevent protein from helping. Pace your workouts and make sure you dont overwork. A nice mix of weights and some aerobic seems to be the best. I was out of shape for awhile and started up the workout routine like you are speaking of, when I did that my sex drive went down a little bit until I got used to the workouts and had some rest days. Overall I'm much more sexually active now. Give it time.

UPDATE:

Yea I did a bit more research after posting this and I just found out I wasnt working with enough intensity. I was barely grazing the surface of my physical capacity (for lifting weights) So I upped my weight and reps and I noticed not only was I much more exhausted after my workouts, but my libido has actually gone up a lil bit. I mean I am having to masturbate regularly for fear of it getting in the way while dead lifting

Thanks for the advice guys! As usual top notch!
