Ducy is just really nice
No not on my pubes...I did it to my face...what can I say I was bored...and even then the razor burn wasnt too bad...(I come from a long line of fisherman and hunters...our knives are always extremely sharp so cutting is a breeze)

But I realized the biggest problem after tweezing for an hour lol...the hair grows in totally random patterns so rather than them growing the same direction, some go diagonal and such so that accounts for so many problems lol...

Absolutely so, from painful personal experience!

Just keep at it. Use a good procuct to treat before and after you shave, use the cream, and a triple blade....I think the one I have is the Sensor (I think they are all about the same)...I can use it on the legs (it's a mans razor) and not a slight red mark. Other's leave a burn...I had it originally by of my then fiance...heck, might as well use it.

I did shave my face with a knife lol. I was replying to one of the posts talking about using a straight razor before shaving his pubes....I was simply trying to point out straight razors arent as bad as people make them lol.

And yes sera I use shaving cream. But I keep getting mail from gillete wishing me a happy birthday and sending me a free razor (the four blade one) so I have been using that..

Ducy,,,I say SON,,,apparantly shaving against the grain on your face is the best way to get a close shave..I did this a few times for special occasions and ended up with nasty results until I read something LAST YEAR and I'm waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay old...if you shave against the grain, you hold your razor with JUST TWO FINGERS (thumb and forefinger)every so lightly...just enough pressure to shave..let your fingers flex...remember you are using a NEW RAZOR...at least 3 blades...this will definitely minimize the red bumps...a buddy of mine has ALWAYS shaved against the grain and he has no problems, myself for whatever reason never did it that way..after you are done shaving against the grain, use a very good aftershave BALM...Hugo Boss Baldessarini Del Mar , Thierry Mugler balm,Tommy balm, heck I think even Gillette has an aftershave balm,,,I'll have to go into my "stock" to see if I still have some of that one!!

Damn... I've ALWAYS shaved my pubic area against the grain, without any shaving cream, fairly quickly and roughly, and I've never had any problems. Ingrown hairs? I don't even know what one is like. Guess I'm just lucky or something...

Then again, whenever I shave my face I tear myself apart. I don't really understand it...

As mentioned, a fresh high quality razor will help tremedously. If you have
never had a facial and gotten some good tips on facial care, you might want
to try that. Lubricated face and high grade "balm" will cool the skin and minimize
the pain of shaving.
