Penile Implant
Due to a heart condition and the fact that I have Nitro pills, I am unable to take Viagra or similar "helpers" and my Urologist has suggested a Penile Implant ~ has anyone had any experience with one?? I'd like to hear from both guys and gals... the pros and cons - I've got an appointment coming up next week to make a decision and would like to hear from someone who has had some first hand experience.... Thanx.

I would not consider it...I have seen many failures and full non working members. Discuss options such as injections with your Urologist. Get several opinions....

I work at a specialty pharmacy and we dispense 2 different injectables for this: Caverject and Edex. I am not sure how they work exactly...but worth looking into.

Well, I do not have a penis so I do not have personal experience. Hopefully, your doc has also gone over the alternatives including the shots and a pump with a constricting band. If so, he is recommending the only thing left. I would have the operation as a last resort and get a second opinion. With the implant, you are never fully erect and never fully flacid. Some men accept that and some give up. I am certain there are discussion groups on the web or at local hospitals where you can discuss this with "users" and their partners. Ask your doc if he can have others contact you. For a cup of coffee most will share.

And prior to any surgery as this...talk to many do not be embarrassed since you need as much info as anyone will give your prior to making this choice....

I've tried the Edex injections at the maximum dosage and nada... just the other night a lady friend was over and one thing lead to another and I decided WTF.. and got out one of my left over Levitra pills and Bam! I was Livin' Levitra Loca.... Twice - I'm going to talk to the Doctor on Monday..... They have been giving me the Nitro pills for "chest pains" for about 2 years now and I have never used even one. So maybe I will reconsider...... Thanks.
