If you pick at a scab, it'll heal slower, just as continually exerting an injured ankle.
You have to give your member a chance to heal. Be the 'slikone' and be sure there is plenty of lube.

This happened to my fiancee when we were doing it three times a day.
Just wash it after you go to the bathroom, if you've been sweating, etc. Also don't let any of her "juices" including spit touch it because its foreign bacteria. Use some ointment and keep it clean and dry, took about 5-7 days before it healed 100%. Search around a bit, theres a thread started by me about this.

And if you cant keep it in your pants for that long, wear a condom, and put some extra lube on your glans to prevent to much friction....But rest would be the best thing

sore penis
At the first signs of penis redness and irritation, many men become concerned about the possibility that they have contracted an STD. Fortunately, penis problems are more frequently caused by common skin conditions or aggressive sex, including masturbation, that result in skin rash, soreness, itching and burning. Most of these problems are easily treatable at home, using a penis health crème that contains natural antibacterial agents and moisturizers(health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) on a regular basis. However if you have an open sore or are uncertain about the nature of your health issue always ask your physician.
