trimming

i have trimmed my pubic hair with jsut a regular old scissors twice now, and every time i do it, my pubic hair itches a lot. is there anyway to get rid of the itchy problem, or to trim with something else to not be itchy?

Stubble will itch whether you shave or cut it short with sissors.
You can cut it short with the sissors if you want, although you would be wise to continue with a razor. Always use a fresh blade and never use a dull one.

Shave with the grain. This will prevent the itching for several days, until the stubble reappears.

Originally I tried shaving everything, and the itching drove me crazy. Lately, I've tried shaving just the scrotum and perineum, and only trimming the area just above the genitals. There is still a bit of itching as the hairs grow back, but its only very slight. And when that happens, I just shave the area again.

coveresid will become famous soon enough
The first time I shaved my pubic hair it was just the sides. I loved the smooth feel, but when it started to grow back it was very itchy. It lasted for 4-5 days while it grew back some and then it wasn't bad. After it had grown out again for awhile, I just liked the bare feel and so decided to shave again. Each time I continued to shave it wasn't so uncomfortable. I think I kind of got used to it. I've been shaving the area now for 4 to 5 years. I've finally go totally bare and when it starts to grow back it doesn't bother me. I have even been waxing it so it stays bare longer.

I keep it shaved by doing so about every 3rd day...while in the shower,it's a hot shower,,use lots of soap and a good blade...keeps you shaved close...a great tip I learned from here is that if you have any areas that seem to get the little bumps for what ever reason..just use a good stick deoderant rubbed on those areas...
