I'm only twenty, and dont really have a problem with ED, my only problem is after about 5-10 min of having an erection, even while with my fiance, i just get soft, and am not hard enough to be able to do anything, and it takes another few minutes to get me back into the game. This is extremly annoying to me. So what my question is, would Viagra help me with this problem? Would much rather ask around before i go through the embarasment of talking to a doctor ... And one last question, is do the generic sildenafil tablets work as well as viagra, they are by far cheaper, and my insurance wouldnt cover it, so im SOL if i cant afford it. Oh, dear....

There seems to be some problems that are due mostly to lack of knowledge and/or technique.

I'm from the ol' school of Eros that places great emphasis on making out--kissing, Necking, Petting, Heavy Petting, for a minimum of half an hour and longer within reason when time permits. That said, all this fooling around should be all inclusive, meaning it begins at A, moves along to B, then to C, then A is revisited, add D, and redo A, B, & C, etc. If Performance Anxiety and nerves are not your problem then perhaps your are not doing your A, B,C's correctly.

Erections come and erections go, not a big deal. Why should a person make a big deal out of it when we can have so much fun rebuilding them and incorporating all of this into further fooling around.

Viagra is not the be-all, cure-all for this type of situation. Besides, I rather doubt a doctor would prescribe Viagra or one of the other ED meds to you.

There are no generic drugs todate. What is available are drugs manufactured by license by manufacturers in other countries. The low prices come from the fact that prices are not set high in order to recoup research and development and setup costs, nor regulated by the FDA or an equivelent. The problem with buying these drugs over the internet is that you do not know what you are buying. Pirates have gotten into the business of making knockoffs and so you could be spending your hard earned money on sugar tablets--or worse. The adage "buyer be ware" holds new and intense meaning in this situation.

But, CACB, do you go through the A, B, Cs of it or just quickly race around the "bases" in order to get right to home base as they say in the vernacular? There is no reason to stop working with a penis once a guy has an erection. Shucks, keep on keeping on with every thing including a few caresses to the shaft and/or glans every so often just to "touch things up" and keep it at the ready.

Does it take you this long when you masturbate? If your answer is no, then you are doing things incorrectly. If you are having intercourse for 15-20 minutes in an attempt to climax by stroking and stroking and stroking, then you have the proverbial cart before the horse! You should not even enter your partner until you are on the ragged edge of a climax yet still able to maintain control. This is the purpose of the A, B, C's and f)oreplay--to get you and your partner to this point. Stroking simply maintains a pre-existing high state of arousal; thrusting peaks it and carries us beyond the point of no return and an orgasm. Intercourse should not last longer than about ten minutes, when it goes much beyond this, women complain about becoming sore, tired, bored. A couple can make love for hours if it is your desire, however, the intercourse portions of all this should remain fairly short.
