sex, ejaculation and working out at the gym

The other day a nice cute girl kindly gave me a blow job and felt good however a few hours later I went to the gym ad I felt 50% of my normal energy levels
I wonder how many calories and protein I would lose having sex to feel this weak?

Thanks

Not much

You expended about thirty-five calories and gave her .1 gram of protein. This does not account for a 50% drop in energy levels. It should have had no effect.

The debate over the effect of sex on physical performance will go on forever.

Gorgot one part

She consumed about three calories.

So why men fall asleep or feel weak immediately after sex?
I normally have a double shot coffee before gym
Do you think it is a psychological effect that prevented me from working out as I should?
Normally my refractory time is about two hours

LOL

There's more than one hormone in the male body and napping after ejaculation is NORMAL for men (and some women as well). But let's review: you pump yourself up with caffeine before working out but this time didn't = what did you expect other than a 'tired workout'? A refractory time of 2 hours is a bit long, in my opinion which is based upon personally run experiments on 50-something men. You may want to get a physical if only to establish a decent baseline.

Thanks EEK. No the workout

Thanks EEK. No the workout was about 4 hours later and normally it goes for 11/2 non stop.
I am 55+ and the woman is 26 so it is within average length of time I suppose

Endorphins

The male ejaculation triggers the pituitary gland to release endorphins. The word is derived from endo-, meaning internal, and -orphin, referring to morphine. It is a natural opioid that brings pleasure and drowsiness. Hence, men to fall asleep after orgasm. Four hours later? Possibly psychosomatic as the endorphins would have cleared the body by then.

I'm on medication for the urinary system duodart and oxytrol patches for frequent urination and enlarged prostate. Live cystoscopy conducted three years ago (nothing found) Could this possibly be the root of the problem as my surgeon refuses to discuss he problem so is my GP who refers to the surgeon notes. So when it comes to discuss the tool there is little help.

Hmmm

We have some problems. I am not a urologist and I have serious problems with colleagues who refuse to discuss patients' bodies and what they are being prescribed. Duodart is actually two medications in combination, one of which relaxes the smooth muscles of the prostate and bladder. Stopping their spasticity reduces the need for frequent urination. Oxytrol does much the same thing with more focus on the bladder.

None of the three drugs involved should make you weaker or reduce your stamina (I think). It would be more likely that they inhibit or delay ejaculation than affect your subsequent physical functioning. The fact that you are on both is worth discussing with your doctor as it indicates that you are experiencing more than normal issues for a 55 yo with your prostate. I do hope that one of the two doctors is checking your PSA regularly - at least annually. Yes, I know there have been news articles questioning the need, or even usefulness, of this test. You should be doing it.

If your two doctors will not discuss the questions, problems, issues medications with you, perhaps you should consider someone different who will discuss anything about what they are prescribing or you are experiencing. They are being paid rather well to take care of your body and part of that care should be enlisting your help by letting you know everything possible about what is going on.

I have one yearly PSAs and

I have one yearly PSAs and two manual checks finger up everything OK but I leak/drip badly sometimes at first I though it may reduce my sexual appetite as the glan goes cold at least is what I perceive. Anyway I practice kegels regularly to no much effect. I went to a physio clinic supposed to be the best in in our state for kegels yet nothing.
It looks like I am again a candidate for another live cystoscopy I see the nurses asking me how big my dick grows to LOL! I really hate that tubing taped to my dick and up my bladder especially when water is pump in.

Second opinion

You ae doing what you should be doing. Perhaps it is time for a second opinion. At the very least, you may get your questions answered. At best, you may find a urologist with some different ideas. This way out of my area of knowledge other than to say most 55 yo, even with BPH have less difficulty than you describe.

yes you're right Brandye I am

yes you're right Brandye I am a regular at one clinic with associates urologists two of them look after me but they seem to be more concerned with cancers than anything else perhaps because they are surgeons. However, with me they seem to be guessing the condition rather than pointing the causes. I also called Andrology Australia to find treating doctors I may have or give them a call again soon for a second or even a third opinion.

Agree

This certainly sounds like a case where some new thinking should be sought. The 50-somethings I deal with don't have this issue so I haven't anything more immediately useful to suggest.
