Sex while menstrating...!

Hey all. I have read quite a few posts in random threads all over the site, about having sex while a girl is on her period. Most of the girls I know are quite dettered by the thought of anything relating to their periods, let alone something like sex. But, I have noticed a few posts that have led me to find out, many woman reeeally enjoy sex while they are on their periods. Being more-so aroused than normal, or even being turned on by all the blood, I've seen a few.

So I figured I'd make a topic about it and see. How do all of you ladies feel about this? Do you not like the idea, do you love it? What types of things do you like most, what exactly about the whole thing do you enjoy, etc.

Just curious and would like to know. I really enjoy gaining knowledge about all this stuff that it seems like we're all taught to ignore while growing up and such, it seems.

Thanks ^_^

The first sages of my wife’s period we don’t engage in sex (Heavy flow) but to the end we both enjoy it as much as any other time just no oral sex involved

Much as per Foxdan we generally avoid sex during the early stages of my wifes period, the mess and menstrual pains are generally the reasons we do not engage, but, towards the end of the periods we do have sex and yes, it would appear (she has intimated) that she is hornier then and as such really enjoys sex at this time. We, like foxdan do not engage in oral though.

Same here as the previous posts. After the first few days we can't seem to wait anymore and just grab a bath towel and go for it. Just jump in the shower afterwards. Usually ends it for her then. Perhaps it pumps out the rest of the residual blood? LOL

The first few days don't come near me, cramps, etc. Day 3-5 I cannot standing skipping it anymore. I have found during arousal cramps and bleeding stops, after an orgasm well watch out for the gush. Hit the shower! Definitely would not want anyone doing oral for those 5 days on me...to go 5 days without sex is too long for me, barely get through 2, but I find no increase in pleasure during my period then any other time.

There are no medical reasons to avoid sex between two healthy people during menses. In a purely physical sense the only real difference is that the resulting mess is tinged pink and we are more aware of how widely our combined juices become distributed. There also are more juices.

For some few women, their periods amount to noticing a spot when they go to the loo and for the next few days they must simply remember to have some “protection” available. No big deal. For some few women, they lose about a week a month to horrible emotions, cramps, headaches and other debilitating maladies. Most of us are somewhere in between; we continue to function generally feeling poorly. And most of us have at least a few days that sex is not really desirable.

Physiological: The hormones get us again. Just before our flow begins (at least a day or two) the mix of hormones in our bloodstream is such as to reduce the libido – we are simply not interested. During this time our body retains water and we are actually heavier and less mobile than we normally are. This is uncomfortable and contributes to our believing we are unattractive. I usually wear a larger bra, or at least move out a hook, for a couple days as my period approaches. This excess water and weight makes us lethargic and inactive. This bloating occurs mainly in our breasts, ankles and lower abdomen. This does create sensitivity in the affected parts, especially the breasts and the pudenda. As long as the bloating is there our genitals are engorged and some womens’ lips are constantly distended.

Psychological: The hormones effect on the brain is important as we become moody and peevish. There are times I say something about feeling poorly and my nurse of many years says, “Your period is due.” Not because she keeps a calendar but after many years she notices the changes that take place in dealing with her that are associated with my (rather mild) PMS. We would rather be left alone and do not deal with others as patiently and gently as normally. We do not like this and it adds to our bad feelings about our bloated bodies.

Social: Most of us have learned that women are not “normal” at this time. Some cultures have women move to the “woman’s house” during their flow because they are not fit to mix in polite company. Menstruating women are not allowed to prepare food because they are unclean. Many sexist jokes deal with our inability to make decisions or function normally during our periods. We have all grown up with this and it has taken a toll. God forbid that anyone knows a teenager is bleeding! For the women in puberty the need to carry napkins or tampons is terribly embarrassing and the thought the outline may show through our jeans or shorts or, worse, smell is a real fear. We have all had “accidents” that are terribly embarrassing.

Most women likely resist sex during their periods because:
1. We do not feel like it.
2. It is uncomfortable.
3. It is more of a mess than usual.
4. We do not understand how we could possibly be attractive.

Some women overcome this through experiences that outweigh the resistance. My first orgasm was during my period when I was thirteen. Subsequently, I have had several pleasant experiences (sexual and non-sexual) during my period. Some of us discover that the increased sensitivity of our breasts (especially the nipples) and our genitals can yield real pleasant contact. During our periods, we tend to be constantly aware of our sexual parts. We have to remember to change, they are more sensitive and whatever form of “protection” (dumb word) causes some irritation that we may or may not notice. I cannot feel the Diva cup, but my vagina is aware that it is there. For some of us, this focus makes us more sexual and for others, less sexual.

I have a partner who is willing to indulge my sexual desires during my period even though she is less interested during her period and this rather reinforces my predisposition towards sex during my flow – though not a couple days before when I am just plain draggy and fat.

The decision and the desire varies greatly among women. I understand sera’s feeling; if a partner will not go down on me then, we may not have another date - quite different from her expressed desire. Among women this is talked about (less as we get through our twenties) and there is usually no surprise registered at individual predilections. It is a very personal desire and decision. And there is not much men can do to change that!

Unlike the other posters I have had sex during my lovers heavy flow days. She never really gets cramps or any of the other badness so the only draw back is the mess. I've even performed oral sex on her during these heavy days; it does taste different, not bad but not as good as normal, because I don't have any problems with any fluid that comes out from her vagina. The only downside is that the blood mats down my soul patch and gets all crusty *ICK* As for normal sex she seems to enjoy it more and I can see that, it's more lubricated and feels a little warmer inside, so... yea. Sex+period=fine by me.

We have sex during her period. We don't always avoid the start of the flow but know we need a towel under use to help in the cleaning up. I don't mind the extra mess and there is no need for lubrication. If we aren't hot and need to get some action done, we will put it off just to avoid the extra mess clean-up. There are times during her period she just doesn't feel like sex and so it doesn't happen.

Yo man do it

Look every women is different but mine gf loves sex on her rag just bloody loves it she thinks it is marvelous!!!!!!!!!!! Just wear a condom!!!!!!!! if you want to get adventurous say you have a suprise, get her to take a shower and clean up down there!!! very important she cleans up, and then use your tongue i=on her clit. She will go nuts i gaurentee that you will never get the response from her that you will get from doing this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dont use your tongue until she is comfortable have sex on her rag, make sure she has some confidence first then "just do it!!!"

Most importantly, be certain it's something she wants. Not all women are into it b/c of pain and degrees of bleeding....

I mentioned jumping in the shower after. I was kidding my GF one time. I said jeez looks like the shower scene from Psyco! She says yeah and this towel is definetly trashed. LOL She doesn't get upset about it, we just enjoy it & find humor in the cleanup.

Good point sera

My BF doesn't mind having sex while I'm on my period. For the most part though I find it very frustrating. Even though I am more aroused than usual, it's like a trick, because everything feels a little bit numb and is not as sensitive to touch as usual. Even if I masturbate while on my period because I feel very aroused, it takes me twice as long to climax because I feel like my nerves are dulled. I am not quite sure why that happens.

Your nerves are numb because when a female is on her period she has a layer of menstral fluid lining all of her vagina and vaginal walls, which then dulls the nerves!!!!!!!!!!!! that info was from a doctor, a doctor being my cousin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot see menstrual fluid being any different then regular vaginal fluid produced when aroused. I see no reason why the blood would numb anything and the nerves are pretty sparse in the depths of the vaginal canal.

That is crap. And that is from a doctor: me.

There are no nerve endings in the vagina or childbirth would be impossible. And menstural juices, which include very little blood, do not have an anesthetic affect on the penis.

Unlike others, I never really have what you would call Heavy flow, and I am super horny on my period. The only problem is, sometimes it is to wet and doesn't feel as good. I like to **** really hard while on my period, however this usually makes my mate cum WAY to fast!

i guees my cosin in england is not a doctor then i am going to call him and give him what for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry for that crappy info peoples!!!!

I agree with all of the posts...sex within the last day or two isn't bad at all. If you're worried about anything, make sure you wear a condom and it will be fine. Yikes! Yeah sex at the beginning of a period would not be okay with me! I would be embarassed and probably not be able to get turned on at all.

i have a heavy flow on the first few days and don't want anyone near me!
but then i get quite horny, but as some have said - i find it a lot harder to find relief or to orgasm.
i generally have sex just as i'm finishing my period never at the beginning and rarely in the middle.

I dont' really feel into sexual activity during my period because of pain and the Niagara flowing inside of me =/ so... at least in my opinion , sex is something is not going to happen while i'm at my "red days"

i LOVE making love to my partner whenever he or myself are in the mood. we dont let anything stop us, period is just the same i actually feel him rubbing inside of me when i have mine, not quite sure why that is but it feels great any and everytime we have it

there also is a saying when the river is flowing red go up the dirt road!!!!

Funny you say that suki, it remindes me of my gf

I love having sex on my period. Yeah, it can be obviously more messy, but just use a towel, no big deal. The only thing I have to be careful of is avoiding my G-Spot during my period. I can female ejaculate, so I would really, REALLY hate to have to clean that up on my period! I notice that I am much hornier when I am on my period and usually have very sexual dreams for a few days before till a few after.

This months period, though, is very different. Having bad dreams and not as much interest in sex. First time THAT has ever happened.

Oh wow, I would love to have sex while on my period, cos I get really horny, haha, but my boyfriend HATES periods, he hates knowing I get them, he hates if I mention it, he even hates the pad commericials hahaha. Which sucks! He gets all the pleasure, I get nothing haha.

that sucks barbie. Tell him to be a man and please you ;)

my gf and i were like rabbits so it didnt matter but i never licked anything of my fingers

only if you BOTH like it. most of the guys find it disguisting. but i don't recommend doing it for the first day or two of your period; too messy. but if you're horny you dont mind, right?

It doesnt bother me and he can careless.. if im on my period

My wife and I do have sex during her period. Not so much on the first two days. A towel under us and the way we go. I also notice that her nipples are really sensitive during her period with help in achieving her virginal orgasms

So from just reading alot from this site i might be a little confused. Hears what i ve concluded idk if im right or not but hey here it goes... When a women menstrates its blood discharging and if the egg hasnt been fertilized it discharges with the blood...therefore its the "safer of safest times to have sex" (yea yea theres no safe sex) So the days before a womens period are the more risker times to have sex.

I've found that if I feel turned on, then my flow stops until we have finished.

Therefore having sex during my period is fine with me because there is no blood anyway. When we first tried it, I was worried that it would scare my boyfriend though.

It's correct that the chances of becoming pregnant are a bit less during a woman's menses, but you should NEVER take the chance of becoming pregnant unless you are emotionally, mentally, and financially able to handle a pregnancy, should it occur.
So the days before a womens period are the more risker times to have sex.
Wrong. Read up on ovulation, a woman is most likely to get pregnant about 10-15 days after her period. (I think thats the right time period, someone correct me if I'm wrong ;)) Ovulation is when the egg moves down and can be fertilized, usually women might be more horny or have more vaginal discharge, sometimes cramps/lower back pain...at least its that way for me :D.

A period is basically in layman's terms is when the unfertilized egg and the uterine lining sheds, since the egg wasn't fertilized...I guess you never did reproduction/biology in science :p.

When I am on my period, my boyfriend knows that I am completely off limits sexually until it is over...

From reading all of the responses before me, sounds like I'm in the minority on that one. =/

I don't know what it is, I think it has to do with the fact that I feel kinda gross during that week. I know it's a silly thought, but that's just what my mind says. If I am on my period and he even tries to touch me anywhere 'below the belt' I basically scold him like, wtf are you thinking!? I honestly have no idea how he feels about the whole period thing though. I guess I just always assumed that he thought it was gross, or at least just didn't like it, as well... I don't think it's something I would ever feel comfortable asking him about though.

Me and my boyfriend have sex EVERY night no matter what the condition, and it's funny but I find that it's easier to orgasim WHILE having sex if i'm having my period.
