I have always fantasized about having sex under water... whether in a pool, a lake, or the ocean.
But (and I'd appreciate Brandeye's opinion
) I've wondered if it's safe for women to do that? What I'm worried about is water getting inside the vagina, and what kind of harm that could cause?
I had sex in a hot tub once, and didn't have any problems, but don't want to do it again without knowing what kind of problems I would be risking, if any.
Thanks!

I've always been nervious to do anything in the water. I only feel this way however because at one time some one told me that water would get in my uterus and rot, or go stagnant.(sp?) and because I do like to be fresh a rotting free... :P I've always been wary of it. I think that now that I have learned about this, maby I will try it... ^-^
Sex in the water is fine; but, for me, just part of foreplay. I enjoy a minute or so of penetration and some gentle rocking in the pool; but I prefer not to continue until completion. You really can be more creative and active when you get out of the water and into bed or on a dry surface. Moreover, being in the water places limitations on oral sex. I can perform cunnilingus under water. However, not being able to breathe is a limiting factor and I have to stop in about a minute or less.
are there any side affects(or effects, not sure of the right grammer) for the male if he has underwater sex?
If your have sex in the water, some water will enter you. I think we all try it once in a while. Whatever chemicals or bacteria are in the water, will now be inside you. The vast majority of the time there will be no problem except we discover that it is neither as exciting nor as romantic as it sounds.
Likely worst outcome is some slight upset of the vaginal chemistry that may lead to minor inflammation or infection such as yeast or thrush. Very heavy thrusting for a long time is not a good idea because the water could build up pressure and may enter the uterus. Personally, each time I have tried I have been disappointed but that is no reason for you to not try. I once had a boyfriend who thought it extemely romantic so he got some in the water bj's.
How about sex in the ocean? What are the dangers of that? My gf reallly wants to try, but i am worried about salt and sand that may be in the water from waves hitting the shoreline.
She also wants to try having sex on my surfboard whiles its floating on the surface. Which I am soo into....
[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]What you are describing sounds like sex in the water not under it. I have always wanted to actually have sex under the water. I am a very experienced scuba diver and it still sounds dangerous, but I want to try it. At first, just in a pool with a tank and a couple of regulators on 6 foot hoses (and nothing else). After we got some practice, maybe like 20 feet down some where in Hawaii. It seems like you could do some very creative things and if it was in Hawaii in some very beautiful places. Has anyone ever tried sex actually under water.

One big issue beyond potential for infections are loss of lubricant, discomfort, and salt & sand are major irritants. It's great b/c you float but have chosen to avoid intercourse in such areas. But pretty good for foreplay (teasing) and then go somewhere else.
