Personal Lubricant Info
Personal lubricants are not all the same.
A. there are oil-based B. water-based C. silicone based Personally, I do not like KY as it is too thick and dries rapidly. Use water- based products. These can dry rapidly, also, but are more easily revitalized with saliva or water, or simply adding more lube. There are several brands available in supermarkets, pharmacies, and adult stores. Not all are available everywhere. Try different brands and models to learn what works best for you and yours. Vaseline is a no-no. Here are some recipes for home made lubes:

I have never used it personally. I think what’s special about it is when you mix the “him” and “hers” it creates a warming effect. It is just what I heard, I might be wrong.

Water based personal lubricants, the old standbys K-Y and Surgilube, can be used with everyone in any situation.
Silicone will not cause reactions in most people but rub some on your hands and try to wash it off. Many oils will cause problems with condom degradation and can also cause allergin reactions in some people. Anything that adds flavor, smell, heat or tingling will cause some discomfort in some womenj. You do not know who or exactly what but those are chemicals going onto (into) some very tender tissues.

The two combined are supposed to have some effect. Personally, I don't like KY very much. I really prefer Astroglide or OTC Super Lube more.

I don't like KY either. Its too thick and doesn't really lubricate all that well. I've never seen Astroglide, perhaps its not available here in Australia. There is a product here called Wet Stuff, which is quite good.

I sometimes have trouble getting Astroglide off afterwards, but otherwise I like it.

I like silicone for anal because it doesn't dry out and you don't need much, but here's A SAFETY TIP, which I found out the hard way - DON'T USE IT IN THE SHOWER. If you get it on the shower or tub floor it will be slippery as hell and DOESN'T wash off with just soap and water. You gotta scrub it with a cleaning compound to get rid of it. Very dangerous.

I like the Durex one. It's not the best ever, but it's easily available at supermarkets and pharmacies, and it's a great consistency.
