I am not seeing anyone lately and life is moving me around a lot, so there is no chance of a steady relationship on the horizon for a couple of months.

I know this isn't going to be a popular answer, but do you have any adult toy stores near you? If so, go in and browse and see what you might like, and- here comes the unpopular part- ask the clerks what they know about a specific toy. I know that may sound VERY embarrassing, but most of the people who work in such stores are very easy to talk to once you take a chance. And they DO have firsthand (you should pardon the expression...lol) experience. They know what has been returned and what sells well. Sometimes they even have a personal review or at least one from a satisfied customer.
