I had my second child (both vaginally) 9 months ago and am still nursing. This past September I got Mirena. I don't know if it's a mixture of hormones and mirena or my organs being shifted but 85% of the time I get cramping (lower abdomen) during sex when he penetrates me fully (he's a little larger than "average") I used to be quite the horn dog and never believed I would ever NOT be interested in sex. Other than the cramping, it also feels as if his penis is pushing/poking my organs. The only relief I get from this is either him or myself pushing on my lower abdomen during sex. The other 15% of the time, sex is incredible and I have no comfort issues.
P.S. I also have a bit of trouble getting turned on even will a lot of foreplay. My husband doesn't seem irritated or hurt by this but it bothers me. I am extremely attracted to him and love him.. my body just isn't responding how it used to..
Any ideas why I'm uncomfortable and how to help?

Some few women do have this response to IUDs. The level of hormone provided by the Mirena should not be enough to cause any problem. There are some issues that could have occurred during delivery that need resolution. It is time to have a long talk with the ob who delivered the child and with whomever inserted the IUD.
