Sex / Pervert books = please recommend

Hello,

i went through search term under "book" and "recommend book" but found nothing.

Can you recommend me an interesting book on sex ?

Or perverted book ?

So far i had :

- Em & Lo - SEX ~ How to do everything ( sex book )

- Tracey Cox - Super Hot Sex ( sex book )

- Alexander Pushkin - Secret Journal ( perv book )

I am either looking for an interesting reading such was Pushkin book... Or something educational, because those 2 sex books were so bad...This forum has far more useful information that those books.

Also... If Charles Poliquin is master on area of fitnes & bodybuilding & strength and Gordon Ramsey is a master in kitchen... Who is the master on sex ? I want to read his books :D

Thanks for your time and advices,

Regards

all good for the general audience

Virtually all cultures have treatments of sex among the earliest themes of their writing. Generally, in the Far East these were integrated into a larger system of philosophy (Tantras, Kama Sutra) but have given ideas to western readers who attempt to isolate the sexual from the theological or philosophical. The (very) old Japanese "marriage manuals" are exceptions to this. They were used to educate prospective marriage partners.

In the Arabic world (The Perfumed Garden) the early writings on sex were exactly that and were likely handbooks for harems. In the western world, religious texts somewhat idealise sex without specific instruction on "how to." And, much of the writing in early European languages could be considered vulgar.

Certainly there is ample evidence that in pre-literate societies the subject was well treated. In Pompeii, as mentions, there are extensive, and beautiful, murals depicting any form of sex that you can think of. Cave paintings in Europe and North America are primitive but similar. Egyptian decorations depict sexualti quite commonly and pre-Colombian carvings from meso-America are quite graphic.

At teh end of the Victorian era in Europe, Krafft-Ebing published what is considered the first modern "marriage manual." He even mentioned "genital kissing!" That was quite a shock to the late Victorians. The classic research was done by Kinsey and Masters and Johnson followed this up about twenty years later. That was about the time Playboy appeared on racks, rather than under the table, and we have been studying and practicing ever since.

The classics of the feminist movement, my favorite is The Women's Room but Speedboat and Looking for Mr Goodbar are also great reads, showed that women could think in highly sexual term as well. In fact, much of the world was shocked by how explicit those authors were.

If you are really looking for a manual of ideas and how-to's, Nothing beats doc's recommendation for the Joy of Sex and its companion, More Joy of Sex. Anyone who wants to study sex could, in fact spend an entire lifetime of reading only books with sexual themes. Lady Chatterly's Lover, The Story of O, Ulysses and on and on.

There is no "master," but there are many who have contributed whether you want research on sexual behavior, how to do it manuals, or great literature.

I am open minded and completely willing to read a book from whom you would recommend as being a master ;)

Charles Poliquin is awesome. But not the master. But then again that's my honest opinion.

Thanks for your reply.

I am well aware this forum contains ton of useful information but i am in desperate need of a book, because i spend so much time reading internet articles, that i occasionally feel i am going blind :( ( not literally tho, but my eyes does hurt )

So yea, thanks for your suggestion, i immediately located the book in our libraries and gonna borrow it ;)

I don't consider anyone a master. Poliquin is a great athletic coach. No doubt about it. I considerred flying to australia for his course on skinfold measurements and related hormonal issues (I.e. high pectoral skinfold = low test). In all honesty the more I looked the less interesting it seemed due to his heavy pushing of only HIS supps that cost an arm and a let

As far as powerlifting, I see Dave Tate and Jim Wendler to be a great resource. I personally have been running Wendlers 5/3/1 and have had constant strength gains in pressing movements. But if you really want to be a hardcore mo' fo' pick up the Russian lifting manuals. Smolov Squat is insanity yet incrredibly effective. My gym buddy ran it for a full 12 weeks and went from 375 to 500.

For hypertrophy specific training. The classic Squat & Milk is phenomenal and when done right is great. Bu for the most part I take different ideals and training methods. Widowmaker sets (20-50 reps for squats). Extreme myofascial stretching is fantastic. And I believe Yates method (heavy weight, lowish reps) works amazing for my chest.

If your a noob, Mak Ripptoe is outstanding as well.

1st. I recommend that you familiarize yourself with the Index found at the top of the main page. It contains links to helpful informative insightful, as well as how-to articles that discuss the most common questions and concerns people ask about. In addition, if you click on the site's Home Page you will find even more information.

Please read every article and add the information to what you already know. Knowledge is empowering.

2nd. Go to the library or your local bookseller and get "The Joy of Sex". The book has been around for decades yet has been constantly updated. Be sure you get the latest edition because older volumes are still around.
