Rippling kegels/Pompoir

Have any of you heard, or been successful at, a Tantric practice called Pompoir (also known as "playing the flute")?

From thefreedictionary.com:
It is the practice of stimulating the man's penis solely through use of the woman's vaginal muscles. Both partners remain still, and the woman strokes the man's erection by rhythmic, rippling pulses of the PC muscles, so this practice is best performed in a woman on top position.

I am unfamiliar with these terms: rippling kegels and pompoir. I like the rippling part though:)

I have experienced it and it is wonderful. It works in any position. Missionary is just fine for it and in my experience doggy is probably the tightest.

Keep the rippling part, but replace kegels with a sexy word that is not someone's surname.

Also be careful with the use of the word tantric. When it is a sexual practice I always use a qualifier since what is nowadays called tantric sex has nothing to do with tantric yoga or with Tantric Buddhism. Sorry for the rantlet there.

In my experience, I can only do this from the top position. I find it enjoyable to do because the man experiences great pleasure. It is also work for the woman no matter how well conditioned. The book The Joy of Sex has a good description.

I agree with dlb's little rant. Tantrism is a complete philosophical system of which specified sex practices are only a part. To seek Tantruc Sex without understanding the whole package is inappropriate. The practice you describe is found in many cultures and not sex Northern India as so many believe.

I don't see what the big deal with labelling it as a Tantric practice. It's also an Asian Practice (prostitutes call it kabazzah). But that aside, I'm talking about the "trick" of rippling your vaginal muscles.

How do you explain the trick to someone who's never done it from someone who doesn't own a vagina?

Tell her to flex her PC muscle while you are inside. Rather than a quick, jerky all at once flex she should begin with a very light flex and slowly intensify the tension in the muscle. This is what gives the rippling effect.

I would not be surprised that most modern women already know how to do this, but are just unaware of the effect it has on men. Some women seem surprised that we can feel it which causes me to think that they either do it for their own enjoyment or it happens involuntarily or both.

My wife does those all the time. Those are called gradual kegels (I know, terminology sucks). That which I speak of is the isolated control of the three bands within the vaginal barrel. It's done with an onyx egg, but the complex task of actually rotating the onyx egg from end to end is what is trickiest of all. <-- That's the art of Pompoir, which is why I specified Tantra

We've been a copulating species for eons - face it, there's nothing new.

Totally agree! With the advent of the internet though, I can ask about very little known information that exists. This "trick" has been around for centuries.

Not trying to re-invent the wheel here, just trying to make "our" wheel better.

This pompoir term is completley new to me, but it does not look like a word that comes from Sanskrit, Pali or even modern Hindi. Not here to argue terminology, although I like etymologies and enjoy arguing terminology:D

As far as I know what you call gradual kegels is what makes us penis owner/operators be able to feel the "bands." I don't know about rotating eggs of onyx or any other stone. I wonder if the sensation of bands ( rings is the word my college friends and I used in the 80s-back before "tantric sex" was "discovered") has something to do with the tone of the vaginal musculature. None of the four women I have felt the rings or bands on (in?) have been especially aware of doing anything other than flexing their PC muscles; often involuntarily. My wife sometimes brings me to orgasm this way, but she cannot explain why I would feel a rippling effect.

Perhaps Dr. Brandye will come along and be able to enlighten us on this.

Thanks for the response, dlb. Brandye answered me on a different thread.

My girl has done it to me on several occasions. She does it best when she is on top. She does her thing while up there and then when I cum or relax she then proceeds to bend forward engulfing my whole manhood and we both lie still and she starts this grabbing and sucking in while circling my pecker and within 45 to 60 seconds I am hard again. We discovered this by accident and since then she has been on a mission to perfect it and boy am I not complaining.

Excellent description, butthead! Any and all information is appreciated and encouraged. Keep it coming.
