I'm on the contraceptive pill and 2 weeks ago when i finished my 21 pills, i usually finish on the monday and get my period wednesday night/thurs morning. 2 weeks ago though, i didn't get it til friday afternoon and it was really light, usually its quite heavy for the first day and then its less after that, but there was hardly anything for the whole time. Is this normal or could i be pregnant or somehting??? ive neve missed a pill and my periods never been this light. I looked up the symptoms of early pregnancy and that worried me a bit because i had some of them.. i don't know if i'm just being paranoid though. i know i should buy a pregnancy test but theyre so expensive im wondering if its worth it or if i'm worrying for nothing

really light period

This is not unusual among women taking the pill. Depending upon how long you have been on it, your body could still be adjusting. It is also possible that your doctor can switch you to a lower dosage.
It would be unusual to have any kind of period if pregnant. The test could help you relax.
I've been taking it for a year and a half, so i don't know if that's still within the adjusting period.. i'm already on a lower does because i was on marvalon and then i changed to Loestrin 20 because of mood swings and feeling ill all the time that was about a year ago.
I've been on the pill for...hmmm...about 11 years now. I was on Loestrin for a while, but then my coverage changed, so I'm using Orthotricyclin-Lo. I've been using it for about three months. I have to say, that I have had to change pills a fair amount in the last two years because of availability/coverage issues and I notice when I change a brand or whatever, what happened to you sometimes happens to me.
In fact, the last period I had started was on a Thursday and was really light. I normally start on Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. This seems to happen every four months or so and I think it has more to do with the fact that it is a false period and not my bodies "natural" cycle. I can't know for sure, but that's pretty normal, I'd say.
