Lubrication makes matters more effective whether directly or via a condom. With regards to sensation and their intensity, the condom itself by being a barrier will reduce the amount of sensations a man feels. Now, having said that, applying lubrication to the Glans of the penis only (never the shaft) before rolling the condom on will give the skin some wiggle room within the sheath and this will improve the sensations we feel considerably.
Please heed the advice regarding the type of lube. Never use an oil-based lubricant with a condom. If you purchase a lubricated condom, add additional lube. Use a water-based lube with Latex and do not use a synthetic with plastic condoms.
You may as well get additional protection while using lubricant. I always recommend condoms be used with vaginal jelly.
Any water based lubricant is ok with condoms. Vaseline (being petroleum based) will weaken latex condoms. Do not use petroleum based lubricants with latex condoms or diaphragms.
If i'm trying to make the experience (first time) much more comfortable for me, should we put the lubricant on the outside of the condom or on his penis?
use LOTS of it on the OUTSIDE of the condom, making sure it will not compromise the integrity of the condom...I'm just sayin' use the RIGHT LUBE!! and don't be shy!!
Then use a lubricant on just the head {Glans) of the penis as noted in my first post.
The purpose of a lubricant is so you slip 'n slide within the vagina easier and without sticking or chafing. You are adding to her natural lubricating mucus.
In addition, lubrication used directly on the penis during a hand job is going to intensify the sensations you recieve. The same goes for the clitoris--and a woman provides her own lubrication! If you ever want to explore anal stimulation, lubrication is an absolute must on whatever is inserted, be it a finger, dildo, or penis.
If you are female, put it in you. The various spermicidal jellies are available with applicators. Fill the applicator, insert and press the plunger, saving a little to go just outside your vaginal entrance.
Depends.
Oil based lubes eat away at your regular latex condom.
Things like Astroglide or KY will not however.

This might sound like a stupid question but.....

For the guy... you should also put a couple of drops of lube inside the condom.
