Perhaps a silly question, but is it possible to instead of a "bump" you get a "dip" right above your anus, when there has been too much pressure on this delicate tissue?
I've had a stomach flue with severe cramping and diarrhea for a week, so that's a lot of pressure :( I've today noticed I can clearly feel a dip in the tissue right above my anus. It's the size of a fingertip. It feels like a soft spot and a bit "thin"; I can feel the harder muscles of the outer sphincter through it below. Looked at it with a mirror; the extra "dip" is quite visible. As if there's a very shallow (guessing quarter inch deep) hollow, looks bit weird  There's no redness whatsoever. And it doesn't hurt; feels a bit uncomfortable when I touch it. I've never had enlarged hemorrhoids (my physician does check-ups on that regularly) and by the descriptions I find of that as painful bleeding bumps; I doubt that's it...
I'm wondering if anyone else has ever experienced/seen this?
I'm in a bit of a predicament on going to the substitute physician or waiting 1-2 weeks; till my primary physician returns from holidays or it has healed on it's own. I don't think I would have noticed the difference, if I wouldn't be so much "in touch" with my anus and know exactly how it's supposed to feel ;)
EDIT 14-7: yep, it goes away on itself. Nothing to worry about :)
