I am a male who shaves his pubic hair but lately i've been getting some ingrown hairs on the side of my shaft (only two)....fearing they were an std I confronted my mom (a nurse) she told me that they were not herpes but without a doubt ingrown hairs. So my real question is...guys can i get some shaving techniques so that i don't have to deal with this embarassment. When should i shave? What should i use after? What should i use to shave? and what can i do to get rid of this zit like ingrown hairs?

Pubic Hair Shaving Problems

GameCock - use a fresh, SHARP razor every time you shave. Before shaving, be standing under hot water (preferrably you shave in the shower?). By standing under the hot water, it will soften the hair and skin, allowing hair removal easier.
Try and use your razor to cut over an area only once. Constant concentration on a particular spot will cause razor burns & ingrown hairs. So do this: shave against the hair ONCE over, then shave the other way, using only one stroke of the razor for a particular area also. Exfoliate 'down there' to remove excess dead skin cells. There should be plenty of topics regarding shaving around the boards - you should check 'em out! Oh, and one last tip - MOISTURIZE!
Hope this all helps
use tweezers for ingrown hairs.. but dont stop shavin the way you are.. it will cause.. lol it if you go the otehr way lol
peace
