Ok, it's all pretty much in the title. We have been trying spooning a couple of times and I known it's meant to be shallow in penetration anyway but we can't even seem to get it any depth in at all. My guy is taller than me, but obviously that doesn't matter here.
Is there anything I can do to make penetration during spooning easier?

Try a two-part approach. Try her entering while on top, you reclining, then roll over together.
Nice suggestion doc... I was going to suggest sliding down lower as well... that usually works for me... lower, enter, then slide up
Do you mean it is the guy that slides down yea? Is it the same if I move up instead so that I don't have to ask him to do that?
Try both ways and see what works.
As for my suggestion, because she knows where her vaginal opening is and where your penis is she can kneel over you and direct P into V and sit upon you with her back to you. Together, you can roll over on your sides.

Use lube, lift a leg and bend away from him a bit, then guide him in. Once inside move back slightly to your original position and bring your leg back down. If he puts his knees between yours, you may find it easier to keep him inside.
