How can I be a good/great/awesome kisser?

I really enjoy making out with a women and feel like its one of the most sexual, sexiest and intimate action to do with a lady, sometimes it can be just as hot and heavy as intercourse. Maybe I am just too-self cautious but I never feel like I do a good job kissing women. Though I take the prefered steps I always feel like I am lacking something. Usually most the ladies I have had make-out sessions with have been at parties or gatherings lately but even though its just in the moment and for fun, and we have the mutual interest of just fooling around I still like to live a good impression and have the lady wanting to kiss and come back for more. For me, its about giving the lady something to leave to the imagination and have something to fantasize about (as corny as that may sound). When I kiss a lady or am about too I take the following steps:

-I ALWAYS make sure my breathe smells good and carry around a pack of mints or (preferably) Listerine strips and I make sure my overall hygiene is good period.

-I usually go with her flow but take charge on certain actions. For example, if she is kissing me I go with the flow and rhythm of how she is kissing me but I'll usually also will gently hold her by the waist or gently grab her face and push her hair back etc. I'll pick up on her kissing rhythm and when I feel like its the right time I'll make it a little hot and heavy and see how she reacts if her body gets more frisky the more heavy I'll make the kiss. I try not to be too aggressive but not too passive either.

-Sometimes I'll nibble, lightly kiss, or even gently bite her neck and ears. Most girls seem to like that and seems to turn them on.

-I make sure my lips are always moist and use chap-stick (though I HATE using chap-stick) so I won't give her dry, cracked, harsh lips.

Things I don't do or ever attempted:

-I never tried sucking on a girls lower or upper lip and I hear that drives some girls crazy but I am not sure how true that is and most girls usually do that to me, I'm not sure if that'll be weird for a guy to do that to a girl.

-I also don't or at least try not to produce a lot of saliva. I remember when I was younger I was very sloppy and left a lot of saliva and even drool. So now I am more than careful with this.

Every girl is different and some girls might and will like certain things and certain type of kisses. I also know that most the ladies are not going to compliment me after our makeout session, especially if its just fooling around and I will dare not ask them for I'll personally feel like too much of a geek. ahahaa. In the end, I always want to make sure I don't turn girls off. Plus, sometimes I know its probably not me it can be the lady (and I have experienced two ladies who were terrible kissers).

I have been trying to look for a friend (that's a women of course) that I can make out with, so she can judge me. However, she has a little thing for me and I am afraid that it'll probably draw her closer to me.

So women, please let me know what I am failing at or what I should do to improve on my kissing/random make-outs. I really would appreciate any advice, criticism.

If she does not quiver after you've kissed her - you're not doing it right.
If she doesn't want another kiss from you - you're not doing it right.
Modify your technique until you find what works with her.

Well, I love her as a friend but I am not into her. Secondly, I am not looking to being committed with a girl at the moment and really enjoy fooling and messing around with no-strings-attached in areas she wants the opposite and I am afraid she'll want something more. Being in a relationship is the last thing I want right now.
