What can really make a guy a good lover?

To be honest I don't see that many diffrent ways to do things unfortunately, which is a shame because I definately want to please my girlfriend. I can still make her orgasm all the time but I'm just wondering what diffrent sexual techniques there are. To be honest for me it just seems like you can enter her at diffrent speeds and in diffrent positions but is that all there is to it?

Surely there must be more techniques to do with the actual penetration rather then just the formula of position and speed.

just remember there's a whole lot more to sex than just the penetration and the speeds and positions you can be in.

there's a whole other part of your girl's body.
we like to be touched and carassed in those areas. some of us like our boobs and nipples kissed and licked and nibbled on.
some of us, like myself, like to have our necks licked and kissed and nibbled on.
some girls like to have their toes kissed.
and etc etc.

pay attention to those areas as well. she'll enjoy it. and you might just enjoy it too.

Tease is right on the dot, although I'm speaking purely from a guys observational point of view of course. I've noticed that my girl seems to react positively when I kiss or nibble on her neck.

Also you should pay attention to her whole body, not just a certain area down there known as the "happy" place. Remember although guys may not be as sensitive as girls over their whole body don't you like it when your girl runs her hands all over you or kisses you on the neck? Just think, for a girl, their skin is much more sensitive than a guys so if you did it they would enjoy it quite a bit.

Ok one techinque that we have recently learned is when I am on my back he raises my legs high and wide and moves up very close to me and goes up and down instead of back and forth. It is a whole new feeling and works very well.

i know...that's why i said "just remember...." because well... penetration wise i'm not really sure of anything besides position and speed.
