I have a slight problem. I foud out that the cause of the decline in my wife's and my sex life is due to the thickness of my penis (approximately 4.5" circumference). After we have sex, her vagina feels sore no matter how gentle I am. When we first started makign love, it was fairly often (~15 times per week) so we belive that was due to the use of condoms and just stretching from use. Over the summer we lived about 4 hrs drive apart so we couldnt do it is as much. There was also the fact that we stopped using condoms. I belive that if we started having sex more often, that it will stretch again and not hurt any more. But what do we do in the mean time since lube and lubed condoms can only do so much? Any suggestions?

I hate to break your "thickness" bubble my friend, but you're thickness is not really outside the scope of what could be called a "normal" thickness. Remember, women give birth, and the vaginal opening is very flexible and can adapt to almost any thickness of erect penis.
Have you changed your lovemaking habits? Are you just jumping into sex with little or NO foreplay? If so, change that, women need foreplay to not only get them mentally in the mood, but to get the juices flowing in her vagina - natures lube. And also, your post has some information that leads me to belive there's more to this than you are sharing. Tell me if i'm getting this right: 1) When u were first sexually active, you made love 15+ times a week using condoms and lube, and her vagina was fine 2) Your work caused you and your wife to have extended periods of time apart, and so the frequency of sex was also reduced; 3) You stopped using condoms (I assume she's on an alternative form of birth control?) Ok, if you were making love 15 times a week, with condoms and lube and her vagina was NOT sore then, it should be even LESS likely to be sore since the latex can often cause irritation of the vagina. But, you're telling us that this "irritaation" happended AFTER you stopped using condoms? Well, somethings not right. Assuming she has no STD's, my initial thought would be: 1) If you're using ANY form of lube or spermicide, that may be causing irritation 2) Have you changed the kind of soap you use? It's not uncommon to have a reaction to soap or deoderant products down there. 3) Is she using any form of douch prior to intercourse? I look forward to your reply..we need more info!

Well, once I went to work, the frequency obiously dropped to almost nothing, i would go 2 weeks without one love making. The soreness started after we dropped the frequency. We havent changed the type of soap, and she doesnt douch. She has no STD's.

yeah Rawbob is right
most guys on here fall in the 5-6 inch range not to say you are too small but in the normal range and not so hugely thick that it should cause a problem heres a link to the girth poll. maybe there is something else going on w/ your wife and size doesn't really have anything to do w/ it. i get more irritate with a condom. even w/ lube it seems to cause to much friction or something... very uncomfortable. i would suggest lots of foreplay definetly lubes everything up and opens up the vagina.

I would suggest using more lube that works for you, and doing it mroe often, but not so that hse keeps on getting mroe and mroe hurt. In the beggining, you might want to give a few days to heal, after that you can try more and mroe friquently. Also, if you can't do it mroe often, why not get your wife a vibrator. YOu know, it could work.
And be gentle. Also, might sound weird, but in this case it could help if the husband didn't last for hours. That could make a girl sore even if you use lots of lube. ANd since you had surgery, I would also ask the doctor what he reccomends.

Hi Miss Meow: If you are Psyche's wife, I apologize if i offended you by my questions! Like demon said, we can only post replies based on what was stated in the question.
If you look at his question Quote:
Lack of information in posts often make it difficult for us to give really good advice! Again, i'm sorry if i offended, it was not my intent.
