Trimming/Shaving 101

Both my girlfriend and I have tried shaving and it is true it itches something fierce! Besides, I see the ingrown hairs a while after she has done her bikini line and those don't look comfortable. We both trim down there and that is enough. No itch, no ingrown hairs and things are still clear enough down there.

My wife has been keeping it shaved for about 3 years now. I keep mine shaved also. It makes oral so much nicer. Every morning, I use my Braun electric razor and help her shave. It sure keeps me horny all day!!! It rarely itches anymore.

I usually wax, but I find I get ingrown hairs; which is horrible.
Has anyone had permenant hair removal down there? ...I was thinking of getting it done to make life easier and not suffer itch and ingrown hairs. Worried about it scaring or something though...any experiences that may help?

We have no trimming or shaving preference. But since on weekends we have more time to explore, we usually shave on saturdays. But the problem is after a couple of days it becomes like abrasive. You get small pointed hairs and it becomes difficult to lick him or he to lick me. After 2-4 days, this hairs again become curved and bit soft and then the problem reduces.
But in hot country like India, clean shaved is always better and hygeinic. And you dont feel bad when you go down on him or her.

I am bald as a new born which both my GF and I like and she has just a tiny little patch, which again both of us love. It itched something fierce at first but I got used to it. My girl said she got used to it right away. Having said that I truly believe it's a personal choice and would never try and change anybody, in other words I'll go down even if it looks like a over grown hedge.

My husband and I both like the trimmed look. We both used to shave completely but omg the itch of when its growing back. So now we both trim and I then shave into the triangle. But I agree, don't bring it up to her in a rude way or she'll get offended real quick.

I started trimming myself and my wife just followed my lead. We have both been trimming for several years and don't understand why we didn't sooner. It really does feel nicer. I don't care one way or another if either of us shaves completely bald but my wife doesn't like it. She says she would feel like a child. I would have to say that a close trim spares you all the itching and is just as good as a complete shave as far as making oral easier. Just get a hair cutting kit and put a #1 guard on the razor and trim. It's easy.

You could try not saying anything and just start trimming on your own. She might just follow without needing the conversation.

Atomic, I recommend using shampoo or body wash, the lather in shaving cream is too thick to see, and it dries your skin. Sit in the shower with the legs spread wide (not under the flow!) and shave with the grain, possibly holding you skin taut. I personally start with the bikini line, then the lips (which are hard, and more painful than the other areas. Don't forget any spots, make sure to check repeatedly) then to the mound... DEFINATELY go with the grain right there! Unless of course you won't absolutely no stubble, then go against. However, do this right before you see him, cause you will get razor bumps/burn, and it'll hurt in a few days or at least itch.
