Hm. I wish I could get some help with this, but I know it's more of a personal/mental problem than anything else. I just don't know how to get over it, really.

It annoys me - and I think that's the main problem. I get so horny, pretty often - and then when I masturbate it just gets, well, boring. I loose interest - I can't figure out what feels right, get discouraged, and stop. Or I just can't focus on anything to think about, I suppose I just get so bored without my boyfriend there to help. (And then when he is, all I want -is- him, lol) I'm sure it's just the mentality of it, but when he does it, it's 'better'. Even if I try doing the same thing he does to me. Hey there. I think I might have a problem about masturbating. I do not like masturbating with a direct touch on the clit or rubbing it with hand. I squeeze my vaginal or butt muscles instead (yeah, this is how it is :S ) i'm thinking that i am new to these stuff and I am not sure if I am doing the right thing. I really detest this loose use of the word, particularly here, when it is sometimes difficult to figure out a person's gender from what they write.

Now, to the question at hand:

If or when the clitoris becomes too sensitive to touch directly, a switch in tactics is required. the clitoris can be manipulated indirectly either by tugging and massaging the labia, or, by folding the labia over the clitoris and rubbing it thru them.

Do not forget that just like the male version, every clitoris has a shaft, it is just that in females, it is buried. You can rub it with one finger or between two.

While fingering, try doing it with dry fingers, and also with lubricated fingers.

Just to go back to Cool Macs' original problem. I've gone through (am going through) the same issue. Chances are none of the simple stuff posted here will work, and I suspect you've already tried most of it. I can hardly ever bring up this topic with my girlfriend without her getting upset, and trying to encourage her to touch herself when we're having sex doesn't work. Nothing we have tried has made the slightest difference with this so I would have to say go with Brandye's suggestion if you really want to get past this and get some professional counselling, although I have no personal experience in this. If you love this girl you won't break up with her over this even if you never get past it, frustrating tho it may be. My gf can't even stand the idea of me masturbating, which is a problem I sincerely hope your relationship doesn't share.
