Can someone please confirm that if a female is having her periods it means that shes not preg.....right?
and If she is preg...then that means that she doesn't have her periods for 9 months correct?

although as w/ everything there are always some exceptions.
i had a friend that didn't know she was prego till she was like 3-4 months along. she had periods but they were not always on schedule and not as lengthy.

I also had a friend who was pregnant and got period twice.Periods were normal like she had them before,and next month when she didn't get period she went to the doc and...the rest story you know.She was pregnant for already 3 months.
So you cannot know for sure if she is pregnant or not only by period.She has to take test,or would be better to visit doctor.

well to give another side of the situation, with the others saying yes she may be pregnant, which is true, she very well may be... but it may just be something as simple as a vitamin deficiency. For the past three months I have only had periods about 3-4 days long because of it.
Pregnant women do not have periods. They may, however, have spotting, just a few drops of menstrual fluid at a time. Maybe this is what demonbuttercup's and flower's friends experienced, or maybe there really are exceptions to this rule that I don't know of.
crazym3, has your girlfriend missed a period or not? This is unclear from your posts. If your girlfriend is having normal full-length periods, she is almost certainly not pregnant. If she is not having periods, or is only spotting, this is not a sure sign that she is pregnant, but it is a sign that she might be pregnant, and therefore a good reason to get a pregnancy test.
