period irregularitys

ok, just readin on of the posted messages, and it mentioned going to the gyn if u have period irregularitys, ok well, my girlfriends periods are all over the show, weve only recently became sexualy active, but her periods are so unpredictable its stupid, for example,
we had sex for the first time, then 2days later she came on for a week,

wen she was back off we had sex twice in the week, an 4 days after that shes back on,(for another week)

so shes been on 2times in 3 weeks, an wen shes on, it usually lasts for about a week.

so in the lasts 3 weeks she has only had 1 week of 'freedom'

this has all been wen we started having sex 4 the first time,

oh, were both 18 an we were both virgins!

oh the first time i fingered her she came on the next day an really heavily.

it cant be just coincidence cos she keeps coming on soon after we get jiggy.

is this a problem? please help

Yeah my DR and the insert packet says a week but she recommended a month, I think I did a month and a half or so, lol... just to be safe

When I started going on the pill, my doctor told me to wait a month before they were effective. I'm guessing it just depends on the pill but make sure she asks the doctor about that.

Ah gotcha!
So did you tell her we said she should go to the DR...or did she come to that conclusion by herself?
Well Im sure the DR will do something about it.... he/she has already done something by putting her on the pill. Might have to try a few different kinds to find the right one for her, or might get lucky on the first try.

PS remember the pill isn't effective right when you start... some DR say a week but I used a back up method for a whole cyle, or one pack of pills. Also, with the way your g/f's periods are... who knows if it will be as effective as someone else, like I said, maybe use back up method for a few cycles until her periods are halfway normal.

Well you didn't mention she had been to the DR and just started the pills, that makes a difference. Also, the pill won't just magically make them regular overnight....it might take a few cycles to get everything in order.

she only went doctor yesterday, an wen i origionally wrote the post there wasnt ant talk of goin doctor or going on the pill so i just wanted any advice at the time

she's just started on the pill to controll her periods, which is also a bonus 4 me, so hopefully that shuld sort them out, she also mentioned the irregularitys to the doctor an he took the details down, but wether hes gonna do anythin about this i dont kno. cheers 4 ur advice anyway guys

She should definately be getting to a doctor. I started having my periods get closer and closer together and it actually caused a lot of problems for me. My iron level started decreasing and at one point I would just sleep constantly. I would get up, go to school, and then come home and go straight to bed. I went to the gyno and she put me on the pill to regulate my periods. It helped a lot and I haven't had any problems with it since.

Theres a possiblity that she already HAS seen a doctor if its that frequently. I cant imagine any mother seeing that going on in her daughter and not taking her to the doctor. If shes seen a doctor, and he/she said everything is okay (I dont know how it could be, but just for the sake of argument) then theres really not much you can do about it. You'll either have to wait it out, or think about doing it while shes on the rag (personal preference will rule here).

But first and foremost, ask her if shes been to the gyno, and if she hasnt, encourage her to go, post haste.

I don't really think it's normal to have a period that often, especially not everytime you have sex.
Periods can be irregular for quiet some time but usually, they don't come that often. Usually it's skip a month type thing.

I really suggest she see a doctor.
