Chinese doctors say they successfully transplanted a penis on a man who lost his own in an accident, but had to remove it two weeks later because of psychological problems experienced by the man and his wife.
Oh no, poor guy!
I think I would rather have some other guys penis than none at all!
and hope I got a bigger one haha
And what about the 22 yr old brain dead guy?!? lets hope he doesn't have a miraculous recovery and wake up w/ no penis!!!!

ROFLMAO....contrary to popular belief, men don't NEED a brain to have a penis!!...uh ohhhhhhhh....wait a minute...our brain is in our penis!!???:D

i agree with the last part of the article that mentions that perhaps adequate psychological training and preparation could have avoided having to amputate the penis .... i mean its such a new phenomenon to have external organs or body parts transplanted, but something has to be done to help these people...
i too am of the opinion of a transplanted penis is better than no penis at all, but then again, would i suck my bf's "stranger" penis? not so sure lol...

well considering after not too much time most of the penis will be composes of new cells as our body constantly renews itself it would not be such a stranger organ after all, I mean once transplanted it is part of you and if you can feel it then you can't deny it

I just crossed my legs...

well ok fine im sure id be able to come to accept the foreign organ, i myself work in the health field so i have seen some pretty weird stuff out there lol, but i can imagine how it can be pretty traumatizing to someone if they weren't properly prepared for it, or even if they were prepared it still can be shocking because it's not the same to imagine something and then actually go through it...
but its not necessarily a perfect match and it could look different, what are the odds the new member is the exact same skin tone as the original, not to mention the scar.... i havent seen it myself but there is supposed to be a video out there of John Wayne Bobbit, whose wife cut off his penis but it was then surgically reattached... so ok thats his own member, but still there must be some scars that remind him of some pretty traumatic events...

If I ever lost my penis, I'd just overdose on progesterone. It kills your sex drive. That way I wouldn't think about sex, and wouldn't want it.

I guess i'd live a beneficial life, and actually add something to this world, once my mind isn't focused on sex, but haha it reminds me of living hell.

Hahahahaha

It seems that a guy's penis is just like his fingerprints. To have somebody else's fingerprints, to feel things in a whole new way must be pretty frightening.

Also consider the idea of thoughts constantly running through the back of his mind "This came off a dead guy" . . . Just joking.

Hope he can get a new one ;-;. Maybe that's a little more like his old one?

I'd certainly want mine re-attached if it was 'disconnected', but I'm not sure about a transplant. I saw a TV program about some guys who had hand transplants, and it wasn't pretty. Rejection is not very pleasant.

That kind of raises a few questions. If a guy loses his penis, will he still be able to ejaculate? And if he can't ejaculate, what happens to all the semen? Does he live in a permanent state of sexual frustration?

Can you imagine that? Wanting, no, NEEDING to ejaculate but not being able to. Sounds awful.

I just wonder if it was a size issue...

"Kim, your penis was so much smaller before! Why is this one 10 inches long and black?"

Sorry, couldn't resist making that crack.

I suppose a transplanted penis would be a 'dead end'.

I couldn't resist another fun philosophical question about a transplanted phallus...

So, we are assuming that a transplanted penis would be a "dead end." Do you think that this is why they call necrophilia the victimless crime???
