The human male can in fact masturbate at any age. There are documented images of this happening in the womb. Boys will experiment sometimes as young as seven or eight, depending upon natural childhood curiosity or exposure to more experienced friends. Generally a kid will not masturbate frequently or with any regularity until "driven to do so" by hormones that begin to have an effect during the early teen years.

It is absolutely not necessary for the foreskin to retract in order to be able to masturbate. In fact many people prefer that it not be retracted because it is more comfortable with it foreward, at least in the early years and before the nerves in the head of the penis become somewhat less sensitive to being touched.

You probably can masturbate, although until you go through puberty masturbation will not include ejaculating semen. You can have a climax and the act will feel good. The two main differences between a juvenile orgasm and an adult are:
1. The intensity of the climax for a prepubescent boy while pleasurable will be much less intense.
2. An adult orgasm will include both the orgasm and the ejaculation of semen. For the latter to happen, you and other boys your age will have to wait until Mother Nature to run her course. The age at which puberty begins varies by individual.

A person does not have to have an erection to experience a climax. Oh, sure, they feel better when you do, however, it is quite possible to have and enjoy them when a penis is soft.

Freeing the foreskin is a process that takes years to happen. It can and probably will take several more years--or not. It just depends. For some boys it can be loose or pretty much so as an early teen; for others, it may not happen until he is seventeen or eighteen or even older.

If you feel like doing this, you can stretch the foreskin just a very little bit every time you bathe. The warm water will soften the skin and make the process easier. DO NOT EVER try to speed the process along by using force. The foreskin is attached to the Glans with a kind of glue and you never want to try and rip it or tear it free all at once.

Your penis will probably continue to grow until you are nineteen. It may achieve full growth before then; however, after this age, it is what it has become.

So, have you begun ejaculating yet? If not, don't worry. This too will come in time and might begin happening in several weeks to a couple of years from now. Each boy is different so if some of your friends are able and others are not, just hang in there. You can still enjoy the pleasure of masturbating even though it will not be as intense as it will be after puberty.
