pelvic congestion syndrom caused by varicose veins on uterus...

I started having painful intercourse when I was pregnant with my.second child after he.was born, I thought it was the hormones from nursing. When I stopped nursing at 1 year, I was relieved to finally enjoy sex again... No such luck. The only time I enjoyed myself was after drinking. My pcp told me to take some ibprophen before sex and definitely see a gyn. The gyn did a full blood workup and found nothing. She suggested either physical therapy or a diagnostic laparoscopy.. I opted for the latter. She ended up finding varicose veins (very enlarged) on my uterus and said this is what is causing the pain. She suggested putting me.on a medication that would put me in a menopause-like state for 6 months in hopes it could shrink the veins. She also said later on down the road I could do embolization or a hysterectomy... Once I'm done having children. I don't like any of the options and was wondering if anyone out there is also suffering from this and what did you.choose... Also are there any non-traditional treatments I can try?

It is worth getting a second opinion from another doctor. No one can really advise you without the medical history and exam results.
