For some reason whenever my bf and I are having sex or even when he is going down on me, right after i cum I have to go to the bathroom. Is this a normal thing or is there something wrong with my bladder? Also he is a smoker and I have noticed that when he has smoked (even a few hours beforehand) and goes down on me when he is done it almost burns when i pee ~ what causes that?

Have you had a GYN exam recently. Do you have a UTI or any other latent issue that might be causing this to happen.
As far as the smoke, 2nd hand smoke can cause many problems
The urethra and vagina run side-by-side and it is not uncommon for the urethra to be rubbed as a result of intercourse or fingering. You can find several threads in which women wonder about the sensation of wanting to pee that they get from fingering or when nearing an orgasm. This is a false signal that should be ignored in this situation, particularly if the person has recently emptied her bladder beforehand.
If you have not, then consider going to the bathroom before starting to make love.
Doc is spot on. I am more intrigued by the smoker part of. I have never had a smoker go down on me so have no personal experience. There are hundreds of chemicals in tobacco smoke and it seems reasonable that some women would react to some of them. Nicotine is actually used as a numbing agent in traditional medicine so it will clearly affect delicate tissue. The tars? Who knows, but it sounds reasonable to me that they could really irritate.
The short answers are yes, this is normal and no, that's not the cause.
The reason behind both symptoms is friction i. e. the rubbing Dancing Doc mentioned.
And I have had smokers go down on me.
