the PC muscle

how much is the PC muscle linked to the anal splincer ? is it normal that they "act together" or is it possible to accidentally be working only the anus and not the PC muscle in the proverbial (whatever they are called) exercises ?

ok thankyou sera thats most informative
ok thankyou sera thats most informative
Anytime...

The pubococcygeus muscle (PC) is a hammock like muscle which stretches from the pubic bone to the coccyx. It forms the support for the pelvic cavity and the organs in the pelvis. It surrounds the rectum, bladder openings and the vagina in women; it also aids in urinary control and function. The exercises to strengthen are Kegels.

That said when you engage the PC muscle it's not uncommon to also engage the rectal sphincter. Although they are two separate entities (the RS and the PC) tightening one generally leads to involuntary contraction of the other.

Yes you could be mostly working the AS...try urinating and stopping midstream this will segregate the PC but you will still notice the AS is tightened...

the pc muscle and the kegels will help both genders - not just women

by strengthening the male pc muscle, a man becomes better able to achieve multiple orgasms since the orgasma nd the ejaculation are in fact two separate things.

(sorry, don't mean to thread hijack)

EEK, how can that be done? I started a thread about this (PC muscle + separating ejaculation and orgasm) but I wasn't really able to get an answer. Is it actually possible to hold the PC muscle long enough to go through the orgasm without ejaculating? From personal experience, I can only do this for a few seconds before the pressure comes too intense and I fail. I haven't been able to find answers to this, only allusions to it. If you can please enlighten me can you please post it here? Or in my other thread?
yes in fact I am a man

I have no idea. However, I have found that guys typically like it when you randomly tighten up your muscles during sex.

It is wonderful when my wife uses her PC muscles. I have found it a bit more sexier than no kegaling.

Kegels are done to strengthen the pc muscle. How you do this is to stop the flow when urinating. Hold. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

Knight you're on the right track - keep practicing! You will find that your ability to 'separate' orgasm and ejaculation will increase over time. Do this when you masturbate as well.

Ladies, in addition to the pc muscle, rippling your abs while he's inside works VERY well! You will have to practice this but the results are well worth the exercise!

There was a thread on this a few years ago about a man experiencing orgasm in a Thai brothel without either partner moving. Yes, we women, well practiced, can bring a man off using our various abdomenal muscles. It can be work but it can be done. Body building is not jest pecs and abs; it can involve lots of different, and interesting, muscle groups.

OMFG...thats just like...wow  Im going to a thai brothel...lol jk

Ducy,

There are other women who can do this quite well, thank you. No need to risk HIV.

knight, wat ur doing is correct and over time u shud b able to hold it longer and longer. I try exercising my PC muscle whenever i watch tv and while im lying on the couch going to sleep (i hate my bed). I find that after exercising it a lot lately orgasms where i do cum last longer and r more intense then before. Also timing matters a lot (for me anyway) because when i first time i tried i thot i had to flex it soon then i actually did by about 4 seconds which seems kinda insignificant but as im sure u know that muscle gets tired fast when ur trying not to cum and 4 seconds cud double ur time at first. Also another tip is to relax that muscle completely for about 30 seconds before the orgasm. I dont know about all guys just myself but when i masturbate (which is how i practice this) and dont think about that muscle it naturally flexes and relaxes a lot which can tire out the muscle. When i make sure to relax it then the muscle is better rested for flexing it when im about to orgasm. I just practiced it about 20 minutes ago and i got it right the first time but the time after the muscle was to tired.

GodHimselfx100 - learn to write a coherent sentence using English, not text-speak. It will save you from getting so many heavy blows to the head.

i didnt think anybody cared and my stupid internet browser is messed up so my posts can only be so long. I try to save space by typing that way so I dont have to make too many double posts but if it really bothers you that much Ill type however you want. Normally though if people can understand it then I dont see a problem with how I type it. Also you could ask nicely.

Realize some of us do not understand txt and conveying your thoughts are best done through writing (although it takes longer) but the practice will perfect your skills & you shall pick up speed.

Often when people TXT...I have to go somewhere and look up what the terms mean! I believe this is the point she is conveying to you! It happens often here, txt, and it baffles many of us! She is being nice! Others many not be...constructive criticism is not a negative approach...it helps people often!

Really? I thought generally everyone knew but the oldest people i come into contact with are about 45 and thats my girlfriends parents who have 3 daughters so Im sure they know all about txt but I have never really thought anyone on internet forums wouldnt know since theres only about 25 things that are txt and I see them all the time on this forum. I said she wasnt being nice cause it seemed like she was threatening to deliver blows to my head but maybe she was just warning me about other people getting mad. Do you care about capitalization since that doesnt effect its readability? Also Iv been curious about some things on these forums and I havent seen them explained. What is Rep Power and how does someone become a senior member.

Good practice will help you as you go through school, write a thesis in txt? You are done! LOL! Just use the best grammar you can and you will find you can express yourself better and will excel beyond others your age and you will articulate your thoughts better.

EEK? She's just saying don't do it. It's the Military in her! She is very sweet.

Rep points/power? Are recieved by people giving feedback or will increase with posts. And they can also decline. I guess you hit membership "markers" based on your posts. You go from Junior, to Member, to Senior based on how much you write...Understood? It's a confusing process.

I know you are 41 (i think) but thats not young either. i was saying the only reason her parents know is because they have three kids. You dont so you dont see three kids texting all the time for about 10 years. I know how to write correctly and do excellent on every paper i have written so im not looking for practice (i know everyone can always use practice but i dont NEED it). I do naturally capitalize the beginning of my sentences most of the but i do however refuse to capitalize i when im referring to myself (like saying "i like cookies"). It doesnt make it any easier to read one way or the other. i articulate my thoughts better the faster i can go because i think a lot faster then i type so if i go to slowly you will notice i skip over words and some sentences completely and sometimes i skip over whole thoughts. By the way LOL is txt. Thank you for explaining the Rep power and the junior senior thing it makes sense now.

You will find though if you use txt, people here will not respond over time. Write your thoughts out, then go back, and read the run on sentences. Then go back & correct your writing. It's a good rule. The English language has not changed, merely slang use has and the more acceptable these "slips" become the more we move form "regular" language. Additionally, you will find posters from all ages and all countries here. That in its self is difficult to interpret their words...I recall Brandye talking about stopping cycling for a "pint". I had no clue what that was! Yes, LOL is slang...but I have learned to adapt to a degree the remainder is too subjective and interpretable. Txt your friends but here it is in the posting rules. Apostrophe's help as well.

If you do not believe me, ask others on here.

Well txting is usually done by teens from my experience so you being 41 or 27 would still be too old for me to expect you to know. If you were 17 and didnt know txting stuff then id be confused as to why. Anyway i'll spell everything out from now on but i wont capitalize i. If someone wont respond to me because i write "I" as i that person is pretty close minded and i really dont want to know them. I understand not liking txt abbreviations (arent they from IM actually. Not that it matters) and i wont use them anymore.

As I state many times; there are many of us here who are part of the "digital divide"...there were not computers for Internet usage.

I am not criticizing you; please don't take it personally. Just learning how to use a computer to explore the Internet has been a challenge for me, most was self-taught while returning to college later in life. I have all I can do to interpret what people write and intend to say or convey.

I capitalize since if you do not, even the use of I since you are asserting an opinion, gets you tossed out of grad school! :)

In the realm of psychology; those who use a lower case 'I' denotes one who has a low self-esteem or a low opinion of themselves just food for thought. As far as closed minded, or narrow in approach, your suggestions of not wishing to know them in fact makes you close minded. People are merely trying to assist you.

Never old............remember just lived more days than others...........Sera
you aren't listening are you. Haven't we reviewed this before??

Truly women like Sera and EEK could really NEVER get "old." Couldn't happen.

IM or Instant Messaging and TXT, text messaging, are similar in that they REQUIRE the use of abbreviations and shortened words and sentences. Just think of your cell phone and that will explain why. But here, on a computer, such things are not needed. Capitalizing I is NOT an expression of egotism but is done because I is a proper noun: referring to a specific person, i. e. yourself. I am very particular regarding the use of language hence my use of capitals in my handle. Sera chooses not to and that's her choice, but you will notice that I capitalize her handle to show my respect for her.

That is the point of using proper grammar and spelling even if others might understand you: to show respect to others. Since you used txt-speak, I didn't read beyond the first sentence.

In this life, you get what you give.

Lack of caps for me was due to my timid approach on the board & felt it may be disrespectful after I read other's posts. I did not do it since I had nothing of strength to say comparatively. I cap the use of "I" since it's proper.

EEK; you get to the point well. I admit I do not care for the "I am too lazy attitude to write" on a board which provides knowledge, without charge; meanwhile, many spend copious hours text messaging or IM'ing. I prefer a telephone.

CL: Age [being "old"> is just a number & state of mind. Overall, I can out do & out work those who are much younger. I have drive and ambition yet am not "lazy". I look around at those who are younger then I; I find it appalling to see how they care for themselves. Admittedly, not to toot the horn, I at my old age, I look better then most of the 18+ ladies out there. Why? I am conscious of health, feel upkeep of health & taking pride in your appearance are important. One does not have to be the beauty queen, but caring about your looks/attitude pays off as you do age. At times, I wonder if people look in the mirror or if it is the new acceptable norm. Frankly, it's unhealthy and does not keep your inner energy going! Life requires synergy!

Yes, Dear CL, I do listen but I still wait a response from you on some topics. :)

Alas, if only that were true, Sera and CL - but age has a habit of creeping up on you. The joints aren't what they were, for example. People, your past physical demands will come to get you esp if you're a big male.

I am fairly attractive and have been around enough to know that compared with the majority of women - I'm The Bomb. Tall, slender, with muscles. Here, just picture the character Mrs. Emma Peel as played by Diana Rigg in the 60's series The Avengers. That's what I look like. Now; and for the past 30 years.

I can still run circles around them. Since being at the hospital as a patient daily, I see many younger people who are sedentary and I am appalled at the shape of them [they are visitors not the patients yet]. I have looked around more recently at the overall health of people, especially those who are young & I am shocked.

Up until about 2 months ago...I used to leg press about 520 lbs...do cadio. and lift. Full of muscle? NO! Just very toned. I am grateful that you do not loose the muscle fast if it's been a life long effort!

I agree with the both of you. That is why I have the routine I do. I agree
with EEK about your past activities especially if you were in contact sports.
You can feel some aches and pains that perhaps others won't. Age is a state
of mind and you either embrace it or "watch the clock" on the wall. I choose
to go and do and enjoy. Sera, I was simply teasing you about the age discussion
that we previously had. I truly meant nothing negative about asking if you
were listening so please accept my apology. Point taken.
EEK, you attitude is infectious. Your outlook is nothing short of outstanding. It
is no wonder you are so comfortable with yourself and your life. I really applaud
you for that and you are quite "INTERESTING", right?? Or better said
WAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY INTERESTING......Caps even.

CL: You have no reason to apologize. I never took anything out of context nor was offended! What I found amusing was the other poster who stated I was old...

So I'm just trying to get a few things straight. If I exercise the PC muscle a good amount how much of an increase in lasting would you expect? Currently I'm new to sex and my g/f and I have only been having intercourse for a few weeks. I last anywhere from 5-15min of thrusting pending if it is the first orgasm that day or just how intense I am feeling. I feel like I cum quicker b/c of how heated I get from our foreplay and seduction times, which lead me to really enjoying the intercourse in a largely turned on manor rather then just popping in for thrusting. I make her orgasm around the 10min marker or sometimes a little after, she usually uses some clit stimulation to help. I've got the art of thrusting and different positions down, but I want to make it so I can last longer ensuring I make her orgasm each time. A few times I would give her an orgasm from fingering/oral, then we would have intercourse and I would cum too early and finish her 2nd by fingering her gspot while she rubs her clit. Thanks in advance =p

No problem, I simply did not want to come off as being rude.....:)

EEK, I understand what you are saying about the age issue BUT people
in general with exciting outlooks and a hunger for life really can never
truly grow old. Of course, they can AGE but never get OLD. To me, there
is a marked difference between the two. Your outlook, your "interesting"
manner, can you really think of yourself as OLD ----- NO WAY.

Blue - by exercising your pc muscle, you will find that you can orgasm without ejaculating this means that you can last as long as you can stay in control - however long that turns out to be. For example, one of my men is expert and will orgasm about every 15 minutes while inside and can keep that up, at age 55 with a heart condition, for about an hour before he has to change position because of his bad knees. All told we can rock along for about 4 hours switching between intercourse and outcourse and back again. It is nice to find a man who can orgasm almost as much as I can!

So if you orgasm without actually ejaculating then you will stay hard? I've done the holding the urine thing a few times, but what would be the best way to exercise this muscle?
Blue - by exercising your pc muscle, you will find that you can orgasm without ejaculating
Yeah, and apparently people can also learn to breathe underwater and float in the air if they meditate long enough... Not possible - Sorry.

Oedi - it is true. Sorry to bust your opinions but it really can be done.

You exercise by stopping and releasing the flow during urination repeatedly, not just one stop and hold. Got it? It is the best way to exercise it since you can see immediately if you're doing it correctly. Then just before you climax flex the pc muscle as you have practiced and that should stop the ejaculation.

You may or may not stay hard but if you do ssoften it will not be all the way and the erection is easily regained.

OK, well, I've dabbled in it, but never to any success. I'll believe it when I achieve it - which will most likely be never because I'm too lazy to bother trying anymore. I don't really see the benefit of it anyway. Too much effort for what is basically just a retarded orgasm...

No, Oedi - you have the ORGASM !! What you DON'T have is the ejaculation. They are two separate things.
