You said you have "trouble" going to the bathroom, does that mean there are time you can? Or never on your own?
Also, do you ever have an erection? Do you have ANY sensation to your penis or surrounding areas?
The next time you see the neuropsych or the neurologist, start asking about the issue of sex and if there are any potential options for you. This is something the doctors should have begun to discuss with you, and also depending on the level of injury & what procedures were done when you were originally injured will affect your options.
What i mean by having trouble going to the bathroom is that i have to work hard just to go. I break into a sweat just going to the bathroom. And pretty much have no feeling below the waist including the crotch area.
I talked to my neurologist and he said the most I'll be able to do with my bottom half is go to the bathroom, and over time the damage to my spinal cord may get worse and I wont even bea ble to do that. What do I do now?Someone please give me some advice, I dont want this in the back of my mind until I'm 20.
Every paraplegia is a bit different and no one can give you specific advice except the treating physicians. I do know paraplegics who still have sex lives. They are able to satisfy their partners other ways and derive pleasure by watching oral being performed on them. In some uncommon instances, they are able to reach orgasm even without feeling. Find a sympathetic doctor to get good directions and a sympathetic girl who is willing to be adventurous.

You need to discuss this with your Neurologist. Your degree of functionality will depend on what level in the spinal cord the damage was done.

Okay, the fact that you can go is a plus, many can not--AT ALL. Talk to the doc. and start to discuss this with him or her on your next visit!
