Pain in but crack when wearing thongs

Hey everyone. I have this problem sometimes when I wear a thong. There is this sensitive spot in my but crack area right near the top of the crack that hurts really bad if the string from my thong touches it. What can I do to reduce this pain?

Another thought; what material is the thong made of? Synthetics will keep things warm and sticky. Check the labels and wear cotton ones. I don't know how things are in US. Over here it's really frustrating to see how 90% of cute ladies underwear is synthetic, whereas for the guys 90% of it is made of cotton. If it's like that, you may have to dig into it, but it's really worth it! :)

And I'd say; if it's irritated now, wear soft and breathing cotton panties for a while, allowing it to heal. And sleep naked. I don't know Gold Bond; it sounds promising on their site. I have used talc powder and especially Sudocreme on irritated area's. Sudocreme is designed to protect and support the healing of irritated skin, particularly irritation due to moist. Mostly it's used for nappy rash.

Wear a band aid under the string.

Use a powder like Gold Bond medicated body powder.

Thanks DancingDoc. I will try the Gold Bond first and if that doesn't work, I'll try the Band aid.

spicygirl since you stated you are over 200 pounds and overweight i am 99% sure that you have irritated skin rubbing together which can't breathe and i have been told it is a form of psoriasis. i have a little as well that my uv therapy doesn't treat so i use medicated creams.

you can use a 1% hydrocortisone cream or a vitamin D cream, which is called vectical and that is the one i have prescribed to me. the nurses said this one is not a steroid and wont thin out the skin over long term use.

hope this helps :)

stop wearing a thong?

Lol weasel!

If none of the above helps, I agree with weasel. Sure sometimes I wear things that are little uncomfortable to look sexy, but why wear a thong if it causes you pain? There are lots of other sexy panties out there you should try ;)

Get a bigger size for one thing.
Stop wearing one until you're healed.
Lose the weight.
Stop wearing undies altogether.
Wear different undies.

Get healed and then re-think your options.

I never wear something that is uncomfortable and have been known to sxplain to my husband that as I had nothing to wear - that's what I wore.
