Thongs

I'm just curious... As a guy, I find thong undies to be very sexy. And I don't mean that because of what they don't cover. When i can tell a woman is wearing a thong (seeing a hint through her pants, etc.), it tells me she's comfortable in her sexuality, and I find that sexy.

Reading through the "20 Questions" thread, it looks like many ladies prefer thongs, but there are a few who dislike them. I am curious for the ones who like thongs, what do you find appealing about them? Or, if you dislike thongs, why?

They are the only thing I wear. I like them because I don't have to worry about panty lines under my clothes and I tend to wear tighter jeans/skirts/shorts where panty lines are really obvious. Once I started wearing them I just got so used to them that they feel more comfortable to me now than regular "full-coverage" panties. I guess they are sexier too. I like to wear matching bra/thong sets and it just so happens that a lot of the bras I buy only come with matching thongs - you don't really have a choice in underwear styles that come with them. So that's my big reason. My BF seems to like them too.

As for me, I take the expression "cover your a-- literally. I've never gone out in public without underwear and to me, a thong doesn't qualify as underwear.
Thongs and shelf bras are obviously for sex play not practicality. I see lots of women in public obviously wearing thongs, but to me, it's just that--obvious.

I agree... I have tried to wear them to "be sexy" but it just didn't work. Its not too sexy when you are walking funny or picking at your butt LOL
I dont wear tight clothing so panty lines are not a problem for me. Also, I tried wearing thongs w/ jeans and my bare ass just seemed to get chaffed by the rougher jean material. Not comfy at all.
I might sport a pair on a special occasion when I know that I wont be wearing them long

I own one thong. I have worn it only under tight, white pants for "special" effect. I am with Revirg and Demon. I never thought of the parallel with shelf bras but it is apt. When competing with my German cousins, I sometimes do wear a shelf but never expect to have it on for more than three or four hours.

I cannot imagina a thong when having hemorrhoid trouble!!

I own one thong and I own one v-string.

The v-string is a bit "more comfortable" when it comes to the "anal floss" because it's just one string... while the thong is two sides coming together and trying to squeeze itself together and fit into your crack, and that right there is just a bit too much for me so I tend to not have the thong on too long.

I bought them because victoria's secret was having a sale. lol. And I bought them for him... well, I bought the v-string for him because it was red and he likes red (and butts for that matter....). The thong I just mostly bought because it was there and figured why not, I'd try it.
I wear them on a rare ocassion. I've worn the v-string more than the thong, but that's due to him anyways.

Personally, I'm a low-rise binkini person... with the occasional brief and granny panty moments (depends on how I feel and if I'm going anywhere or just lounging around in my pjs all day long). I even sometimes go commando, which feels really good sometimes.

Thongs might indicate she's comfortable with her sexuality ... but I've been sex-avoidant for years & ahve always worn thongs - for me, it's just comfort (& I realize that idea sounds insane to some) *SHRUG*
