LDR: Staying Connected
Here's a thread to list ideas for "staying connected" in LDRs... ways to keep the distance feeling minimal and keep the "closeness" feeling big.
We, for example, have a few little rituals like sending a good night text (when technology cooperates) message... recapping our days in a rambling email... Other suggestions?

We had lots of ways to stay connected. Like I would get a morning email everyday and return one to him. We had set times (everything permitting) when we would IM or talk on the phone. Mostly in the morning, lunch and then again in the evening.
We also had things we shared online like forums where we could be known as a couple. We developed friendships with others online that made us feel more real and connected. We often shopped together online for a variety of things. Much like window shopping in most cases, which gave us an understanding of the each others likes and dislikes. We also made sure that we didn't get so busy that we didn't have some intimate time together. Usually on the phone once or twice a week. ![]()
