Pain...am I alone?
Hello. I need one question answered. I feel like I'm alone out here. My boyfriend and I have a WONDERFUL sex life. We are working on spicing it up. Certain positions (i.e. doggystyle...unless my legs are "inside" his) are painful. It almost feels like he's in too deep and "hitting something he shouldn't be". Has any other females had this problem? Please let me know I'm not alone and let me know what to do.

Thanks. But it happens when he's penetrating "soft" also. It doesn't matter if he's going fast or slow...certain spots hurt. It just seems like he's hitting the wrong spots or something. Oh well. Thanks though.

As the saying goes, it is hard to tell without being there...however, it sounds like he is hitting the cervix. The fix is to not go as deep in that position or to shift position slightly so that the angle of penetration misses it when moving inward.

Every couple has characteristics, jointly, that make some positions mare useful than others. With different partners, different things work better. If doggy with your legs spread lead to problems, try others. Not every position in "the book" works for every couple. I find overly rigid penis' to limit my movement and my enjoyment; other women probably prefer complete rigidity.

Thank you all so much. Guess I'll try shifting. I was just wondering if I was alone. Thank you Doc for your input. Do you think it's because my uterus is tilted a little? I've wondered if that may be causing it too, but just about every female I've talked to have told me that they have a slight tilt. My gyno has stated that mine may be worse than others though because I had difficulties with my pregnancies. I guess he'll just keep thinking he's doing something right with all my squirming trying to find a spot that doesn't hurt. LOL. Thanks Brandye for your input as well. Have you noticed the "curve" having anything to do with different positions feeling different with different parteners? (Did that make sense?)

I have the same problem. My husband is quite large and certain positions like doggy and the feet on the shoulders was painful in the beginning of our relationship. But after 14 years and numerous chats about our likes and dislikes we have found ways to compromise. We still do these positions I just tell him how deep or fast he can go. And even durring certain times of the month if we can do them at all. Hope this helps a little. Every BODY is different. LOL
