here's an odd question directed perhaps to moose hd or any other guy
with a more limited repertoire ... ok so ive had 3 serious bf's in my life , a few years each... but my current bf has only had one.. me... we've been dating over a year... we have talked about plans of moving in together, saving for a house, etc.... its kind of weird to say but some part of me is just like paranoid that he has never been with anybody else before....
cuz when i was 19 and had only been with the 1 bf, my mind kinda wandered and i started to wonder what it would be like to have sex with a different person... is that a curiosity that happens alot? or am i just weird... well mind u there were other problems in that relationship that may have lead to me wanted to be with someone else , but still.... i really love my bf and part of me thinks its really sweet that he waited till he found someone he really wanted to be with (well that plus he's really shy) but part of me worries he may eventually feel like he "missed out" or something for not being with other people... i kinda brought it up once to him but he was like nah thats not going to happen to me... but i mean i dunno what can u do ...

I think the answer is yes for this one. There's also a thread about this in the Long Term Relationships section where the woman only had 1 partner and apparently it's quite a common feeling. For me, if I married that first girlfriend (and we did discuss that at length) I think I would have felt on some level that I missed out, because no 2 people are the same, so logically I would have permenantly missed out on some sexual experiences by restricting myself to 1 person for life.

Also I think for men in particular we are genetically driven to spread our seed as "widely" as possible, so if we stick with our very first woman then we feel that we have missed out.

Kind of scares me since I really dont want to be with anyone else other then my boyfriend. Which I dont care if people think its too early to say that, its the way I feel.

Got mad yesterday because my boyfriend and I went to go get tattooed and the artist at the end (he had been asking us questions the whole time) said something about seeing us back in a few months for touch ups. But I'd probably be with a different man and he'd probably be with a different woman since seven weeks isnt much. What the hell, he had no right to say something like that, you have to start somewhere. You cant just jump into a relationship and be like 2 years! Yes go us!

moose (and anyone else reading this lol) i read the post about that lady who has only been with her husband and is considering having sex with another man and has discussed it with her husband yada yada... whoa, certainly not my cup of tea... ! ... i can only hope to keep the communication (and sex!) open with my bf and not let his curiosity escalade to that point...talk about feelings and stuff along the way, which is not always easy... of course i cant predict what could happen 18 years down the line but that just seems so extreme...
its like being stuck between a rock and a hard place ; the previous sex partners ive had in my life all helped me become who i am today, but i love my bf very much and have no desire to be with anyone else ever again. Is part of my certainty in saying that because ive been with other people? Who knows. I really think if i had been with only him id feel the same way but of course its one thing to say how you would feel in a particular situation and another to live it... well over a year into it and we're both still relatively happy ; sure if i consider some of the other things ive posted about, our relationship isnt perfect lol, but i think it has lasting power...
