My girlfriend I have been trying to have a baby for the last couple months and I was just wondering if any one knows what the best position is for conceiving?

Brandye is a jewel in the rough
Girlfriend on her back with butt elevated on pillow that brings the hip angle up. Keep her knees up and withdraw carefully leaving as much semen as possible in her. She should stay that way with knees and hips elevated for ten minutes or so. Then lie still for a while.

This is all designed to give the most sperm an opportunity to enter the cervical os. After that, they are on their own.

The optimal frequency of intercourse is every other day from the tenth to to the twentieth day of the cycle. Does not hurt to go all month because of irregularities of ovulation. Every other day allows the male time to replenish the sperm supply and also insure that there will be live sperm in her uterus and fallopian tubes at the time of ovulation.

Given your handle and a post on a different forum, why are you trying to conceive? Sure you are ready?

oberon will become famous soon enough
I'll echo Brandye's interrogatory... Why ON EARTH would you possibly want to have a child at 17 years of age??

And just out of curiosity... Do you have things like... a job? insurance? your own home (NOT your parents' home)? How about experience in dealing with a baby and possible complications?

Please, remember, this isn't just about the two of you... if you have a child, you inflict whatever choices you've made on him/her, too... and the baby didn't have any choice in the matter.

Thanks, Oberon.

I had not noticed who posted until it was up or I would not have responded. Hence, the edit.

if you really think you're ready for a baby then go for it. but mayb u should try looking after a friends baby for a couple of days first. the sleepless nights and constant screaming when u dont know whats wrong can be really tough on any first parents not just young ones. beleive me i have been there!! but good luck to you and please ask 4 n e advice if u ever feel u need it (better to ask than to stress urself out worrying)

Your original request was posted October 18 and you are telling us on November 15 that it worked. Interesting.
