I started shaving because my g/f prefers it, and eventually grew to like it myself. I do agree that it makes it look a tad bit childlike... sometimes it surprises the hell out of me to look down and see no hair. But overall... it just feels better somehow. (The being shaven, not the horrible itching that comes with it.) As far as hair removal products, I've considered Nair... but the idea of putting any chemicals near Bruce (My penis' name. Not that original really. Think Bruce banner and what he does.

i prefer a guy to have hair down there.
not necessarily a huge amount where you can't see anything but i need some hair down there. it makes it seem like i would be having sex with a 10 year old or something and well...just no. i need the hair.

About a year ago, my girlfriend and i were talking. At that point, we both kept ours trimmed. i commented on how i liked it when a girl was balled downthere. so i agreed that if she did it, i'd do it to.
For about a week it was so weird. all i could do is feel myself because i felt like a new man. but lets just say i've kept shaving ever since and love it. it looks better and feels better. and every girl i've been with since has liked it better. I tried using Nair, but that worked maybe twice and then started to burn me... i'll stick to my mach 3. |

ok, to all those people getting razor rash or bumps or irritation or whatever... let me state my view on this.
i tried out shaving down there (just like leaving a strip) a few years ago but i found that i broke out into a serious case of bumps and irritation and ingrown hairs were coming out wherever they could. so i stopped doing it and let my hair regrow. recently i decided i would do it again. now take in mind i am a fairly hairy person. i have far more hair all over my body than a lot of females do. it's just something in my genes. so i tried it again. i trimmed first with some scissors, because well, i don't have a trimmer and it's just easier that way. i used a brand new razor with my trusty shaving gel. it's for sensitive skin and helps guard against cuts and things. but alas, i wound up with the same problem. bumps everywhere and dear god did i itch. and then the ingrown hairs came. i was now frustrated again because this is all for a suprise for my guy. he has no idea i'm doing it but i think he'll really enjoy it. so, since we're supposed to get together again soon, i decided to let it grow out some again this past week so the irritation would go down. i then asked one of my friends if it would be wise to shave with an electric razor down there. (she hates hair and shaves everything but her head). and she didn't have an objection to it. so i got out my trusty electric razor which i haven't used in years. it's a lady remington from back in like 1991. ya know, the kind that probably couldn't cut a piece of paper if it wanted to. and then, BEFORE i got into the shower (cause electric shaving with somewhat damp skin is hard...) i shaved the areas i wanted to test out. and i will say, that i did that wed night, i did that last night and i have yet to break out in bumps or have any kind of razor burn or irritation. after i was done with my shower, making sure to scrub down there to get off any kind of dead skin and whatnot, i put some lotion with aloe on and it's kept it pretty smooth. so if you're having problems with breaking out or whatever, try an electrice shaver. some of the newer ones can cut you a bit if you're not careful, so if you have an older one, i suggest that. no, electric razors won't make all your hair go away, it will leave a tiny bit of stubble, but it's really not all that noticable. if you can run your hand over it without really noticing, i don't find it a big deal. i also hear those new microtrimmers work good too. i found one at walmart today and bought it and i will test it out tonight. hope this helps some of you.

I would love to hear your results with the microtrimmers. you mean the 'as seen on tv' ones, right?
I myself, wet-shave the shaft and scrotum and trim the thigh, pubic, chest, and stomach hair. Again, my wife and I are still trying to find out ways to keep dwon the ingrown hairs (ow!). My current research project is to shave every day and see if the pores will get used to it. Also does anyone know a hair removal product safe for use on genitals. There are posts that hint at it but never reference an actual product... And as far as an electric, I don't think i am brave enough to put that thing near my tender bits... Although Norelco just came out with this trimmer that is a typical trimmer and a mini screen razor in one. maybe that will work. Has anyone used the microscreen razors (face or pubic)? I have only ever used the triple-head razor for my face before. How well do they work? Think that mini one would shread my genitals? |

yea the as seen on tv ones.
the one i found at walmart is just like it..it's just a different brand. (even though it has the "as seen on tv" sticker. lol) anyways, i used it, and i LOVE it. i was able to shave in places that my electric razor so couldn't reach. and since my guy looooved what i did, last night i decided to shave a bit more, so i got the microtrimmer out and i got a nice close shave out of it. it takes a while to shave it completely, since it is only a trimmer, but it's totally worth it if you're like me and a normal razor will break you out and if you're afraid of cutting yourself down there.

Hey thanks for the review. *I have found mixed reviews about them some people say they work terribly and that they will pinch your skin if you trim against the hair. *Good to know. I was about to try the BodyBare shaver (link below) and they are about $60. *I think I will try the microtrimmer first.

hmm, never heard that. but i will say it didn't pinch my skin and i always shave against the growth of the hair because that is the only way i can get rid of my hair. and i have yet to break out yet when using it.
that body bare thing looks nice though. in walmart, they had the microtrimmer for men and then one for women. the men's trimmers blades look a bit longer than the womens (and probably stronger too) but i'm sure either one would work. and if you can't find the microtrimmer in walmart, here's the link to it: http://microtrimmer.com
