Leotards are tight-fitting garments that allow near-perfect freedom of movement. The less you wear, the less encumbered you are, and therefore the better you can perform athletic feats.

Thanks Browser! A little more in-depth... leotards (leo's) are constructed like a one-piece bathing suit with a low cut back, and high-cut on the hips so that the material won't interfere with the gymnastics bars and whatnot. They also don't include any of the "doo-dads"- dangly straps, floppy fabric pieces that you often see for show in bathing suits. The leotards are made with a high spandex content so that they fit extremely snugly, also allowing coaches to better watch your movement when training and tumbling.

Tell us more, Im still not clear on the high cut hips in comparison with a bathing suit. Are you girls saying you dont shave unless youre wearing a leo in comparison with a swimsuit? What difference does it make?

I never objected to anyone watching me ;-) Honestly, I don't suppose there really is a difference between shaving wearing either a leo or a swimsuit. Personally, I always found that my leo "exposed" more than a regular bathing suit did, so I had to make sure everything was clean, but I shaved anyhow- swimsuit or leo. I honestly can't imagine anyone not shaving (except for the younger girls, obviously) but it was practically a requirement. I imagine it was probably a rule somewhere. The competition judges also wouldn't let any undergarments show (i.e. bras) if we wore them. They required us to look clean and professional at all times. I'm attempting to insert a picture of a leotard right here-they serve all the same requirements as a swimsuit.

Are you saying you cant do your routine in front of judges if you are wearing a bra? What if your tits are medium to large and they get in the way and affect your performance? I find this all fascinating. By the way the pics you posted show a pre-teen girl in a "leo" or swimsuit. Im still not clear on the difference. Your expertise and experience would be helpful. Let us know!

You can do your routine in front of judges while wearing a bra- it just can't show, or they actually deduct mega-points from your score for it. If you have a rather large chest, which is kinds of uncommon in gymnastics, you better hope you own a decent sports bra that won't show... or something. The only REAL difference between leo's and swimsuits are the fact that leo's are always one pieces and aren't made to go swimming in, though I suppose you could if you wanted to.

Hello, new to the forums!
1. Well, I pretty much read through this entire thread, but I was wondering if anyone could advise me on how to shave the area under my scrotum and near my anus? (This is really embarrassing for me to ask!) I just don't understand how I'm supposed to do it when I can't even see it. And how do I hold my butt cheeks apart and shave at the same time??? 2. Also, I have an electric shaver, which is probably what I'm going to use, but does anyone have any specific razors (brands, types) to use that you can recommend to me? Everyone says just use new/sharp razors, but I've never shaved my genitals before so I'm very nervous about cutting myself! 3. If I decide to trim, or not completely shave the area around my shaft, will it be irritating and itchy for my partner? THANKS! |
