Penis Size 101

This is in response to all the guys who posted, saying that it's basically "the motion of the ocean" not the "size of the wave." There is some truth to that, but when it comes down to it, they are both right!

You can't have a non-existent penis... you know like 2" or less... maybe even 3"... but you can have a 12" one and still not put a chick over the edge. You have to be able to use what ya got, and use it well!

But now, in response to the question-- the avg. American male's penis is 5.0-5.5 inches in length. Not the average male but the average AMERICAN male. Europeans are slightly bigger, and Asians are slightly smaller. Hope I was a help!

I found a site some time ago that had a large scale (more then 3k people) internet survey, and this is roughly what they found:
Length, ave 5.5, ave variance (most of the non-5.5's fall within 1.5 inches (so 4-7 inches)
Girth, ave 5.1, ave variance .6

This data is from an internet poll, like i said, so some of it is going to be funkyness, though the variance numbers help combat that.

The girth is the part that usually screws me up, i see 5 inches and think huge, but thats really only like 1.7 through the middle.

I personaly am on the long side, and way over the normal variance on girth, which causes way more problems then it's worth (which isn't that much, really, from people i've talked to, averidge really is best).

Ill admit it when fully erect i am exactly right on the dot 5 inches long. And you know what? Every single time me and my girlfriend have sex she cums. Sometimes twice with oral and one time i made her cum 3 times with intercourse (various positions). So i would say yes if its too big or too small its bad if its just right it can still be bad. The standard deviation (for those non-statisticians) is the measure of how widely values are dispersed from the average value.

It's interesting that although male and female preferred size is identical, it is in fact women who have shown the widest range of preferences! The Std Dev for females is much greater than for males! I (for one) would have expected it to be the other way around.

All the men (bar 1) voted from 5" to 7".
5 women voted in the average range, while 2 voted 8" to 9", 1 voted 7" to 8", and 1 voted 4" to 5".

Does this mean we need to revise the often-cited belief that ... "the vast majority of women don't care about size, just quality?"
Have women just been trying to make us guys feel better all this time, when they tell us size doesn't matter?
Does it mean once women try bigger they are converted to it?

Should our average "Mr Happy's" now be seeking a name-change to "Mr Sad"?

Of course, I say all this somewhat tongue-in-cheek, but I would be interested in the ladies views on these early "findings".

OK, Stallion, I've never had one too large or too small. I like them in that middle range around six inches. Of more interest to me is that they not be bar rigid. That limits my motions and I cannot adjust to the best spot.

However, here's an afterthought - if very large penises (say over 7" or 8&quot are relatively rare, I wonder how many women commenting/voting have ever experienced a larger penis.

If they haven't experienced one, how can they know whether they would prefer it or not? It's kind of like saying "I prefer skim milk to 1%", when I've never tasted 1%!

If I am correct, it makes the poll/comments pretty meaningless, unless only women who have experienced ALL the varying lengths are the only ones to vote. Saying that she is satisfied with a certain length doesn't mean she wouldn't prefer something else, if she had tried it!

I'm one of the females that voted the 8"-9" range. *Personally I do have experience in the different sizes. *I've been with a 4.5, a 6, an 8 and a 9. *Three of which were quite a bit above average in the girth area as well. *Brand me a size-queen, but yep the 8 and 9 were more fun. *Sure it hurts like crazy unless you use a lot of lube and patience, but there's something to be said for the endorphin rush that accompanies that kind of stretching.
Also, in my experience, the men with larger than average penises were actually more aware of their actions in bed and were more careful not to hurt their partner. *I'm sure many men of all sizes are extremely considerate lovers, I just was not fortunate enough to meet them.
Even with my preference, I definitely agree that the penis does not make the man and that there's nothing undesireable about an average or below average penis. *All penises are great if used properly by great men. *Just because some of us happen to prefer a larger one doesnt mean we dont also appreciate the smaller ones.

Okay first of all penis size when erect fluctuates depending on how arroused you are and on my best days I'm about 7" long and 4.5 in girth and in response to andyaz post I respectfully disagree with you that people are always lying about their penis length I agree that some people will lie even on the internet where they are anonymous just to make themselves feel better but not enough to seriously contaminate and well organized survey.

Second of all I have always felt inadequate about my penis size and I think the real issue is that almost everyone has at one time or another felt inadequate about their penis size and the truth is if you have a 8 inch penis you wont have to work as hard as a guy with a 3 inch penis but it doesnt mean you dont have to work to please a woman a penis is just like life it is what you make of it.
