Thanks. As far as the social problems that may arise... yes... that could be a problem. But... theres always the dream situation where we disappear, go somewhere where noone knows us... and that way, the kids will not have to know... atleast not untill there old enough to realize the problems that may arise. Having read all the posts on this topic so far I want to go back to the original message.
Personally I have no problems with the writer and her brother masturbating in front of each other. I would have a problem with them having 'intercourse' of any kind other than intellectual.
My twin sister 'discovered' masturbation from her friends (we were in different classes at school) and told me about it that same night. We had no problem doing it in front of each other, (we shared a bedroom), both before our mum found out and after she'd shown us the more enjoyable way... "You mean, I can touch that bit without screaming?"
PERSONALLY, I think if my sister had been my brother instead it would still have happened. We were brought up to regard the human body as healthy, and man made emotions such as guilt were not necessarily the right ones.
As others have said, the urge to 'show and tell' with family becomes less as your circle of friends grows. (To be honest, when you've seen your sis a hundred times it gets boring... LOL)
I still see my sister very often, naked as often as dressed (we were brought up nudists), and we can still talk explicitly about sex lives (both our own and others) but I couldn't imagine either of us suggesting a replay of our younger days.
My opinion, not saying everyone has to like (or even understand) it.

I saw a study once on Isreali school children raised on, I guess, what amounts to a commune. *These children were raised almost as closely as brothers and sisters. *What they found was that there was no inclination to marry within these groups because they all, sort of, thought of themselves as related-brothers and sisters. *I'm not sure what that proves in relation to this topic, but I think it shows that most of us aren't inclined toward this behavior even where the feelings are artifical.

Going back to the origanal post, I didn't get any sense of one sibling forcing the other. *Only a fond memory. Something that was remembered as good. *I believe that forcing anyone to do anything is wrong. *But as long as no one was harmed by this, I can't say I have the right to judge what anyone else does. *I can say I wouldn't broadcast it to the world. *Too many people feel they have the right to condemn and punish what they do not agree with.

"heart felt" posts.. to me its still wrong.. like.. your.. brother and sister.. i duno to me.. its just something that is not done.. anything family like that.. and when someone is forced to do something, that is wrong to.. in my eyes.. very..wrong... indeed.. but i duno, i think it is pretty sick and desturbing, and makes me wonder what goes through a persons head who does it.. and im not judgin,saying the person is a mental case.. or anything....so..yea. cause i've never been there, so really i can't say a word.. but im just saying.. my opinion...

No offense, but the fact is that I'm sure there are thousands and thousands of young siblings all over the U.S. who masturbate in front of each other. I find nothing wrong with it as it's the kids way of experimenting. All kids are curious and they experiment. Kids have parents, right? So how are kids made? They obviously get made from parents having sex. The kids know that their parents have sex all the time. So it gets the kids curious and they want to experiment with their siblings. Nothing wrong with it as long as it's legal and it's in your own private life. You just need to be responsible about it.

When I was a kid (about 10 years old long ago), me and my brother used to take baths together all the time. We didn't masturbate in front of each other, no way, but we were curious of what our naked bodies look like.

All kids experiment with sex and masturbation. I'm sure many many many of you in these boards had experiemented with sex and masturbation with siblings and relations in other families but you are too afraid and embarrassed to admit in these boards.

As i think back on my close friends in high school and middle school, i can't really remember one of them who DID NOT masturbate at one time or another in the presence of their sibling.

Mind you, this is NOT TOUCHING each other, but rahter watching and being watched....or sharing a playboy magazine and masturbating in front of each other.

I DO DRAW A LINE AT TOUCHING! I too was "touched" by an older uncle in my early teens and so it's something i know a bit about.

To me, incest by it's nature is something a bit more involved than masturbation.....tho, i'm sure everyone has their own "line" they draw. I'm just speaking for myself and my experience.

Personally, I still don't see anything wrong with seeing another family member naked, there is nothing wrong with it all. If you find it offending, you're making a big deal out of it.

There is nothing wrong with seeing other people naked whether the person is related to you or not. It ain't like someone seen a naked body before. It's pretty natural as long as it's not sexual. As long as the person is in the legal age in your state, then there's nothing wrong with it at all as long as you're not doing anything sexual.

I agree that incest sex is wrong but seeing another family member naked is not.

It's a fact that everyone has seen their parents naked when they were kids.
