What I find wierd is that you have been on the Board for nearly a year and you have not seen this discussed numerous times, or, that you have not used the search engine at the top of the screen to look for the answer before posting.

What gets passed along several times a month is:

#1. We do not give orgasms away. Each of us is responsible for our own orgasms. All any of us can hope to achieve is to help our partner reach his/her climax.

#2. Not every woman can orgasm, according to many posts by Brandye. Of those who can the prerequisite for having them during love making is that the woman learn to masturbate successfully and to do it regularly, beforehand. Once she can do this then she can teach her lover how to mimic her specific technique that is unique to her.

The reason we all must learn to masturbate to orgasm is to establish the millions of connections between all the sensitive nerve endings in the skin and the pleasure center in the brain via the autonomic nervous system. It's akin to connecting all the dots--the sensors are there, the wiring is there, the receiver is there but there are no automatic connects established at birth or through puberty. Practice is what establishes the connections and "cements" them perminantly in place.

I also peat and repeat the following: While we all know the basics for stroking a penis and fingering a clitoris, each of us develops over time a unique set of movements, rhythms, and pressures that are unique to us. If we are off the mark a little, either an orgasm will not happen, or, it will be less than expected. It is this specific technique that I call the "fine art" and this is what a lover must learn to mimic. So, I suggest you send word back to the friend of a friend of yours what she needs to accomplish by herself, first and foremost.

Orgasms are absolutes. So are pregnancies. You either experience them or not, although some orgasms are more intense or satisfying than others. Your statement is confusing because she either has had ONE, or she has not. I think she needs to try for numbers two through ten at least before saying for sure one way or the other.
