It does not matter what you want. If this is about her, learn about women. Only about a quarter of us regularly reach orgasm through penetration and thrusting. Another half of us requires additional stimulation which she seems to get from rubbing your penis against her clitoris.
Why worry about what helps her reach orgasm as long as you two can get there. A quarter of all women never, or very rarely, reach orgasm.
Try some positions that enable you to stimulate her gspot some with intercourse. Also have her rub herself during intercourse, if she is a bit afraid tell her it turns you on seeing her pleasing herself. There are ways for mutual orgasms in this, you just have to find what works for you both. Each woman can experience orgasms in her own way, just gotta adjust with that way and find what works for you both. Gl with it.
There are times my wife wants me to stop the penetration and so she can have my penis rub on her clit. She will hold my penis in the right spot while we hump so it rubs directly on her clit.
