Are you litererally sucking the whole time? If you are, this is probably why your mouth is hurting. I made the same mistake when I was new to oral sex, and I soon learned that constant sucking is very hard on one's mouth, regardless of the man's size. Sucking every once in a while is a nice treat for him, but you don't have to suck continuously throughout the whole blowjob. Instead, gently put your mouth around his penis and move your head up and down.
