I was pondering this because I was rather bored.
Anyways, urine has lots of bacteria flowing through it correct? And the female orgasm (not sure on male) is what 60% urine I think I've read, and I know me personally enjoy swallowing my girlfriend's juices, so is that safe? Yes I will continue to do it just more-so a question that popped into my head because I was bored.

Gotcha, yeah I would have remained performing oral, it was just something that came to mind. That's really interesting it has very few harmful bacteria though.
Actually, pee is quite sterile. And female ejaculation is considered safe, and NOT urine.
Doc, Brandye, sera, EEK, elaborate please?
Urine should not have lots of bacteria...its a sterile environment. It is a source of toxin release. Externally near the vulva there may be a great deal of bacteria. Female "squirting" is a build up of a host of fluids which should not be urine. What ever you enjoy taste testing...fine. Just be aware of the risk of bacteria from the vulva & any potential for STDs. Urine has a distinct scent...you would know if you were drinking it. Look in the toilet or urinal next time...when you urinate note the smell...and would you not notice if you were drinking it??? It has an ammonia scent to it.
Urine from a healthy person is quite free from bacteria. In emergency situations it is better to cleanse a fresh wound with urine than with river water. So, with healthy partners forget bacteria.
The source of female ejaculation is actively debated but is thought by many to be secretion from the Skene's Glands and not urine. So, you will receive some urine from oral sex, with either men or women, but it is a non-issue.
Vaginal juices are filled with bacteria - good ones and bad ones. In a healthy woman, nothing to be concerned about. With either gender suffering urethritis, prostatitis or vaginitus, there is usually a foul odor and bad taste. And the healthy vagina is a cleaner cavity than the mouth.
If you have a healthy partner and are in a monogamous relationship, oral sex is very safe.
The female ejaculate is a mixture of carbohydrates used to ensure the health of the vagina. It has a distinct sweet taste to it and is essentially clear, non-staining, and quick drying. It must not be harmful, because I have not heard of anyone harmed by drinking it - much like sperm, I should imagine.
Okay wait Im confused...urine isnt filled with bacteria, but it is a way to get rid of toxins, so doesnt this mean that urine would be toxic to you?

I always understood pee was the "filtered" stuff your body doesn't need.
Okay wait Im confused...urine isnt filled with bacteria, but it is a way to get rid of toxins, so doesnt this mean that urine would be toxic to you?
Not toxic substances! The liver filters the blood, kidney break down proteins etc. Such is excreted through the kidneys...honestly your own urine will not harm you. I have actually been told by one medical professional as well if stranded you can drink your own urine one time. Apparently there after, there is no hydration benefit. Also learned the same re: voiding on cuts if stranded out in the wild.
Now you see what not being precise in your language gets you?
A toxin (Greek: τοξικόν, toxikon, lit. (poison) for use on arrows) is a poisonous substance produced by living cells or organisms that is active at very low concentrations. Toxins can be small molecules, peptides, or proteins and are capable of causing disease on contact or absorption with body tissues by interacting with biological macromolecules such as enzymes or cellular receptors. Toxins vary greatly in their severity, ranging from usually minor and acute (as in a bee sting) to almost immediately deadly (as in botulinum toxin).
Biotoxins vary greatly in purpose and mechanism, and can be highly complex (the venom of the cone snail contains dozens of small proteins, each targeting a specific nerve channel or receptor), or relatively small protein.
In the context of biology, poisons are substances that can cause damage, illness, or death to organisms, usually by chemical reaction or other activity on the molecular scale, when a sufficient quantity is absorbed by an organism. In medicine (particularly veterinary) and in zoology, a poison is often distinguished from a toxin and a venom. Toxins are poisons produced via some biological function in nature, and venoms are usually defined as biologic toxins that are injected by a bite or sting to cause their effect, while other poisons are generally defined as substances which are absorbed through epithelial linings such as the skin or gut.
Therefore: henbane, eaten raw, would be a toxin. Eating the active ingredient distilled from henbane and then snuck into your food by someone who was not your friend, would make the active ingredient a poison. Since henbane cannot up its roots, hunt you down and stick you - thus injecting its active ingredients into your body - it cannot be a venom.
(Henbane (Hyoscyamus niger), also known as Stinking Nightshade, is a plant of the family Solanaceae that originated in Eurasia, though it is now globally distributed. Henbane can be toxic in low doses. Its name came from Anglo-Saxon hennbana = "killer of hens". Hyoscyamine, scopolamine, and other tropane alkaloids have been found in the foliage and seeds of the plant. Common effects of henbane use in humans include hallucinations, dilated pupils, restlessness, and flushed skin. Less common symptoms such as tachycardia, convulsions, vomiting, hypertension, hyperpyrexia and ataxia have all been noted.)
Urine is filtrate from blood that circulates through the kidneys for the purpose of being cleansed. Germs are not part of that in a healthy person.
So, yes, it is composed of waste. It is not dangerous waste. The nastiness of urine being aorund for a while comes from the interaction of the various components with air. Chemical reactions take place and the WC becomes smelly (especially when men pee on the seats). Fresh urine is almost odorless and reflects what you have been eating or drinking. Asparagus, brussel sprouts, broccoli and related vegetables are very noticeable. As is coffee and a few other beverages. On a bland diet and drinking water, it is not smelly. Two hours later, it can be quite aromatic. Same is true with menstrual juices or semen. Both become stronger smelling when exposed to air.
The minute urine traces we get from performing oral sex (and there is no avoiding it) are quite fresh and I have never noticed it with either male or female partners. At least those who bathe.
This thread seems to have really brought out the teacher in the EvilCat! I like that post.
LOL Thought you might like it, Brandye.
I really did! And remember that many of the toxins, venoms and poisons, or their extracts, are still used in homeopathic medicaine in controlled doses.
Proving to those of us who are allopathic physicians that very often a tiny dose of what would cause the symptoms of the disease can actually cure it. Henbane that you cite is only one example.
This is also the reason that over the years I have lamented not having a homeopath or naturopath hanging out here. We üsual"are just as limited by our educations as anyone else and homeopathy has much to teach us.
Indeed, but in the wrong hands...? It pays to ask around.
My girlfriend does give me oral, but is worried about the germs. Because of that she does not do it very often (like once or twice every 2 months). How would I explain this to her, without totally turning her off to it?
We have been dating for over a year, and we do have sex (which is great) but I really enjoy oral too. I just don't want to make her feel uncomfortable or anything, because I do love her, but I also love it when she does go down on me. She also doens't let me go down on her because she is afraid of germs.
It seems that all he want to do is sex, and she doesn't really want to do much else besides some teasing with our hands. Sometimes I would rather just fool around then full on vaginal sex.
I hope I put this in the right place, I am new to this site, and wasn't sure if I should make this a new topic or put it here.
As long as you both are clean and free from disease, there's nothing dow there that will hurt either of you.
Am I right, Brandye?
